After coming from three days holiday bulls resumed the charge of Indian markets taking cues from global markets and
persuaded Indian equity indices to rise by over 0.8%. Flopper of the day was Wipro Ltd (down 8%) as the company
projected a weak revenue guidance for next fiscal while declaring its Q4 numbers. S&P IT was the top losing
benchmark on the charts. Rate sensitive counters continue to gain on rate cut hopes.
Globally, U.S. markets on Friday and Asian & European markets today exhibited positive trends.
Back home, gold loan finance companies Manappuram Finance (up 4.95%) and Muthoot Finance Ltd (up 7.19%)

The volatility as denoted by INDIA VIX gained 5.60% at 16.22 from its previous close of 15.36 on Thursday.

On the BSE Sectorial front, Consumer Durables (up 4.26%), Real Estate (up 3.41%) and Capital Goods (up 3.33%)
were the top gainers.
