1. Vocabulary
Topic Gender equity
Glossary  Stereotypes characteristics ascribed to groups of people involving
gender, race, national origin and other factors. These
characteristics tend to be oversimplifications of the groups
involved, however.

Prejudices An adverse judgment or opinion formed beforehand or
without knowledgeor examination of the facts.
 Discrimination treatment or consideration of, or making adistinctio
n in favor of or against, a person orthing based on the group, class,
or category towhich that person or thing belongs rather than onin
dividual merit
 Capability Measure of the ability of
an entity (department, organization, person, system)
to achieve its objectives, especially in relation to its
overall mission.

Equality the state of being equal, especially in status rights or
opportunities
 Equity the quality of being fair or impartial; fairness;impartiality
 Sexism discrimination or devaluation based on a person'sex, as in r
estricted job opportunities; especially,
such discrimination directed against women.
 Epistemology a branch of philosophy that investigates theorigin, na
ture, methods, and limits of humanknowledge.
 Role a part or character someone performs or the function or
position of a person.
