2. There are many ways in which I can engage with my audience. One of which is social media. I have come up with the idea of
creating different social media accounts to try increase the amount of people who buy and view my magazine. The use of
advising magazines is to get your name out, and that is exactly what I will try to do so that people who like indie music can
look at my magazine and see if they like it.
The first social media would be a Snapchat account. Originally I was going to create an Instagram account but I wanted it to
be slightly different and use another social media that other people may not have thought of using. Snapchat is where people
can take 10 second videos of what is going on in the office, when people are in the process of making the next magazine. As
well as this you can advertise discounts and other news on Snapchat. Furthermore, you can get exclusive sneak peaks to see
who is on the front cover etc. The reason why I chose to create a snapchat account is that it one of the most popular social
media, and I know this because in my survey I asked what social media people use the most, and snapchat was the second
highest. I think that it had the possibility of being the highest if I did not advertise my survey on Facebook. What I mean by this
is that if I had advised my survey on a different social media then there may have been less people who put Facebook as their
most used social media.
The next social media account that I will make is a twitter account. On my proposal I mentioned that I will put screen shots of
these tweets and put them on the bottom of alternative pages in my magazine. Creating a twitter accounts means that we can
tell our viewers what new features might be coming out and also so we can see the audiences views on our monthly magazines.
We would be able to see these tweets by using a hashtag These tweets may include what the readers liked about the magazine
and who they would like to see next on the magazine front cover. This can help us because we can see what the viewers would
like to see, which means more people may read the magazines.
As well as social media I would also like to create a website. On this website you will be able to see all the information about
subscribing, the next magazine and previous magazines. If you do want to look at previous magazines then you would need to
make an account, but if you want to get notifications about when the next magazine is out, and see the magazine online then
you would need to subscribe. Subscribing allows you to pay in advance for my music magazine. You can pay from 6 months to a
year. Overall buying the subscription will turn out cheaper, so if you know you will always buy the monthly magazine then
maybe the you should consider buying the subscription as it will save them money. Moreover, if you have an account then you
can see exclusive interviews that may not have been put in the magazine.
All of the following social media and website would be created to advertise my magazine so that the amount of people who
would read my magazine will increase.
