YOUNGSTOWN AREA
Capacity Enhancements Made to Local Mobile Network
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (Feb. 5, 2016) — AT&T* has upgraded its wireless network within
Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties with more than 15 enhancements during
2015. The improvements include activating a new cell site as well as adding greater capacity
to existing cell sites in the area. Across Ohio in 2015, AT&T made more than 680 upgrades
to its wireless network.
People using the AT&T wireless network in Trumbull County are using a new cell site. They
and their neighbors in Columbiana and Mahoning counties also enjoy more than a dozen
cell sites with increased capacity. That’s thanks to added layers of frequency known as
“carriers.”

Senator Joe Schiavoni. “This is important for our regional economic development. And it
