CUSTOMERS
New 4G LTE Cell Site Activated as Part of Ongoing AT&T Investment in Local Wireless Network
CARROLLTON, Ohio (Apr. 13, 2015) — As part of its continuing network investment, AT&T1
today
announced the activation of a new mobile Internet cell site in Carrollton to expand AT&T 4G LTE
coverage for area residents and businesses.
AT&T 4G LTE is the latest generation of wireless network technology and provides several benefits for
local residents, including faster mobile Internet speeds, improved performance, reliability and innovative
new 4G LTE-compatible devices.2
AT&T’s network has the nation’s strongest LTE signal,3
and AT&T
also has the nation’s most reliable LTE network.4

constituents in Carroll County,” said State Representative Andy Thompson. “It is a welcome

AT&T launched its ultra-fast 4G LTE network in Steubenville in January 2014. The new cell site is one
part of AT&T’s ongoing efforts to expand 4G LTE coverage and to drive investment and innovation to
deliver the nation’s best, most advanced mobile Internet experience for customers.

upload, stream and game faster than ever before on our 4G LTE network,” said External Affairs

AT&T invested more than $1.6 billion in its wireless and wired networks in Ohio between 2012 through
2014, and made more than 830 upgrades to its wireless network in Ohio in 2014. The company hired
more than 1,730 Ohioans from 2013 through 2014. Positions filled in the past two years included
IT/engineering, retail, technician, call center, business solutions, and corporate support categories.
Over the last six years (2009-2014), AT&T invested nearly $140 billion including investments in its
wireless and wireline networks and acquisitions of wireless spectrum and operations. Since 2009,
AT&T has invested more in the United States than any other public company. In a September 2014
