NETWORK IN FRANKLIN COUNTY
Capacity and Speed Enhancements Made to Local Mobile Network
COLUMBUS, Ohio (Feb. 1, 2016) — AT&T1
has upgraded its wireless network within Franklin County
with more than 130 enhancements during 2015. The improvements include adding greater capacity and
speeds to cell sites in the area. Across Ohio in 2015, AT&T made more than 680 upgrades to its
wireless network.
People using the AT&T wireless network in Franklin County now enjoy more than 50 local cell sites with
increased capacity. That’s thanks to added layers of frequency known as “carriers.” AT&T also
expanded the band of radio frequencies used on more than 70 towers. That increases speeds.
