Sites like twitter and Facebook enable you to be more transparent and
connected, but also encourage contrived media. “branding yourself in a certain
way that hides your faults and gives your friends FOMO. Social media peer
pressure subconsciously draws you to conform” You lose some honesty for the
promise of likes.
This strategy also transcends into the job search, unaware its keeping them
from being genuine and authentic.

So what’s the new job board? Twitter. As a matter of fact it is also becoming
the new resume.The reason? Because today we are all about brevity; the
short and sweet gets your the job. Learning to condense your CV into 140
characters or less might just be the future of job seeking.

Google GOOG -1.09%+. Jobvite also surveyed recruiters, 94%
of whom use LinkedIn, while 65% use Facebook, 55% use
Twitter and 18% use Google+.
