We plan on integrating a teenage couple (so the target
audience can relate to the protagonists) in a
secluded area away from any source of help in our
film to make the viewer feel helpless and
sympathetic, also building suspense and creating
tension. A scream will be used to break the tension
and frighten the audience.

4. Our horror film is targeted at teenagers
over the age of 15, this is because
teenagers usually enjoy a sense of
danger and adrenaline. It is also popular
for teenage couples to go and watch
horror films at the cinema as a date, so
we will take advantage of this and use a
teenage couple in our film.

5. We chose to call our production company
‘MASK productions’ as it incorporates the
first letter of all of our group members
names. We also had the idea of calling the
company ‘SMAK’, but we thought it would
be more fitting to call it ‘MASK’ as we were
creating a horror film and a convention of
horror films is that the antagonist wears a
mask, we also found a nice image of
drama masks to be used in the logo. the
next slide will show our logo we made.

7. We had a few ideas on what to call our film,
such as ‘Missing’, but we settled on ‘Miller’s
End’ as it was filmed in a place called
Miller’s Pond, but the viewer won’t know
this, so they might be intrigued as they
don’t know what this place is, or they could
be asking “who’s Miller?” as it is also a
name. Another question the audience may
be asking is, “the end of what?” it could be
the end of someone’s life.

8. We aimed at 15+ due to the BBFC age
ratings; a rating of 12 wouldn’t be
possible to achieve as too much blood
and gore would be involved in our film,
but not so much to be given a rating of
18+
