A Strategic Approach: GenAI in Education
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

They also supervise everything during the film making process (such as the progress of the film) and are responsible for finding a distributor for their film. Film distributors are the people who actually sell the film using various marketing and promotional techniques.
- 3. BBC Films Working for the BBC, this production company produces an average of 8 films a year. It has proved to be an extremely successful and recognised production company in recent years, producing films like StreetDance, Match Point and Fish Tank. Working Title Films Founded in 1983, this company produces feature films and television productions. DNA Films This film production company has made films like Never Let Me Go, 28 Days Later and Sunshine. Vertigo Films Started in 2002, this company has made films like StreetDance 3D and Monster.
- 4. A few examples include 20th Century Fox, Universal Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment. Distributors will be prepared to buy our film as our concept is original and appealing to a wide target audience. It also has the potential to make generous profit. Moreover, we plan to release the film in summer so that more people will be able to go and watch it and it would also be available on DVD/Blu ray for Christmas.

- 7. The target audience for our film is between 15. The guidelines will influence our production as we will want to appeal to as large a possible audience for our film. By making it 15 we are able to appeal to as wider audience as possible. When it will be released on DVD/Blu Ray, we could change the target audience to 18 hence we can show the footage we originally desired to show.
