2. What is a Film Distributor?
A film distributor can be an organisation or individual who
market’s and represents the creation of a film. Their role is to
control how the film is distributed in home circulation and in
cinemas. They also represent movies in major film festivals
nationally and internationally.

3. Examples of Low Budget UK Film
Distributors
Dazzle – This is an independent distribution label in the UK that
distributes short films for home viewing as well as cinema
releases. In addition, one of their aims is to appropriately handle
film exhibition exclusively.
Icon Film Distribution – This is a film distribution that deals with
the independent releases of films produced by local and
international film-makers.

4. Famous Film Distributors
 20th Century Fox is a film distributor headquartered in the
London. They are known for movies such as: Life of
Pi , Borat and Fantastic Mr. Fox.
 Warner Bros is a film distributor which is also headquartered
in the UK. It is known for famous blockbusters such as: Harry
Potter and The dark night series.
