1. This is photoshop, it is what I used to make my final product. It was
very useful and has many different aspects to it, in this video I will be
discussing the different techniques I used to make my magazine
using photoshop.

2. This is the lasso tool, I used the lasso tool throughout my editing especially the
polygonal lasso tool this is used to select a specific are it allows you to make a very
accurate selection this was very important in order to not making any mistakes and
cutting out things that were not meant to be cut out.

3. I used the quick selection tool a lot as it allowed me to select large areas very quickly
which meant that I was not wasting anytime. However it was not always successful as
it cuts out things that may not want to be cut out this is why you have to only use it
for specific objects which are easy to select.

4. I used the crop tool a lot especially when getting fonts from websites and also when
taking areas out of pictures when ever necessary I also found it useful when making
things such as banners and skylines to big.

5. The brush tool is used to blend things together and make them all the same
colour I used this when changing the colour of the models lips it was very easy to
do.

6. The clone stamp is used to replace an unwanted item with a new one an example as
to when I used this I when I saw a spot on my models head to get rid of this I cloned a
clear part of her face and put it on the spot and it dissapeared this was very effective
and easy to do.

7. The erase tool was good for getting rid of backgrounds the normal erase tool was done
like a paint brush so this was very effective when getting rid of hair which I didn’t want
on my model as it was un neat however the magic eraser tool just instantly picks up a
background and deleted it which was very quick and easy when needed.

8. The text tool was easy to use you just simply clicked on where you want text and wrote
what you wanted to put and you could change the font and the colour of the font
however I found myself using this less as the fonts were not varied enough but it was
good for small text.

9. The shape tool allowed me to add any shape onto my magazine this was good when
making plugs and skylines it was very easy to decide the size of the shape as well as the
colour.

10. Layers are a very important aspect as they allow you to add different things onto your
magazine and if you want that deleting you can delete it without anything else deleting
they are vital and should always be remember. Layers allow you to put one layer over or
under another they are very effective they also allow you to duplicate.

11. This was my original image firstly I needed to cut it out to get rid of the
background so that I could put it on my magazine. I did this by using the
lasso tool and the quick selection tool.

12. Here we can see that I have cute out the background.

13. I created a new white background layer and added my image onto it. This is so I
could see if anything else needed removing from it.

14. Then I created a new layer and put my mast head on and put it behind my picture.
