2. Polygonal tool
Here you can see that the
lasso tool polygonal tool and
magnetic lasso toll are all in the
same section because they are
designed to highlight areas you
click on so that you can delete
it.
The polygonal tool is good to use on big
areas that need to be deleted but can
only go in straight lines, so a lot of the
time it is not needed because it is not as
affective as the magnetic lasso tool.
3. Lasso tool
The lasso tool is
similar to the
polygonal tool but
is harder to use
and is more free
hand. Although it
is still an easy way
of deleting large
spaces.
4. Magic wand tool
As it shows here I am
using the magic wand tool
delete the original
background to my main
image. I used the magic
wand to do this because it
is easy to use and is
reliable.
Although the magic
wand tool is good to
use it does not get
rid of it all and is not
the quickest tool to
use because it
leaves little pieces of
the picture it has not
managed to
highlight.
5. Blur tool
The blur tool is a simple tool
to use and does exactly
what it says in the name.
the blur tool is good to use
when you have deleted
around a image like a
person and there can be
sharp corners where there
shouldn’t be and this is
good to make it look
smoother and more natural.
6. Smudge tool
The smudge tool can
also make images
look more natural
and smooth but you
can smudge an
image to fill in gaps
that have been
deleted that you
didn’t want to.
7. Simple tool
These are things like the eraser
tool and paint bucket tool. It is
also things such as the text tool
and the zoom in and out tool.
These are the easiest tools to
use on Photoshop.
8. Summary
• I think that my Photoshop skills have
improved a lot from my preliminary task. I
am a lot quicker and have more
knowledge on what tools are the best to
use for certain things.
