The female reproductive tract consists of the ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, vagina, and vulva. The ovaries contain follicles within the cortex and neurovasculature within the medulla. The uterus is comprised of the endometrium, which contains the stratum basalis and stratum functionalis, and the myometrium. The endocervical canal is lined with simple columnar cells while the ectocervix is lined with stratified squamous epithelium. The document discusses the anatomy and physiology of the female reproductive system and conditions such as cervical neoplasms and endometriosis.
