There is evidence of proficiency in the creative use of many of the technical skills.
Footage:
There is good controlled use of the camera throughout with great variety of shots
and attention to framing. Good attention to mise-en-scene particularly costume
and location.
Editing:
There are well placed cuts and transitions. Good titles to show the conventions of
the industry. Good use of shadows to build tension.
Sound:
The use of sound and effects builds tension well throughout the piece. Might have
been nice to hear some dialogue.
Overall:
A proficient film opening that fits the genre well, excellent horror mask.
