operate.
It provides in-depth details
about the business to
determine if and how it
can succeed, and it serves
as a valuable tool for
developing a winning
business plan.
It attempts to answer
two main questions:
Will the idea work,
and should you
proceed with it?
You must identify how,
where, and to whom you
intend to sell a service
or product before you
begin writing your
business plan.
You should also assess
your competition and figure
out how much money will
be needed to start your
business and to keep it
running until it is well
established.

feasibility study will help
you:

you need to make the
business work
• Pinpoint logistical and
other business-related
problems and solutions
• Develop marketing strategies
to convince a bank or
investor that your business is
worth considering as an
investment
• Serve as a solid foundation
for developing your business
plan
Feasibility studies contain
comprehensive, detailed
information about your business
structure, your products and
services, the market, the
logistics of how you will deliver a
product or service, and the
resources you need to make the
business run efficiently.

Accomplishment of a
successful business all boils
down to whether or not you
have someone who wants to
buy what you are selling or
service to offer. Is there a
market for your product or
service?
Another thing to consider as
you review your product
offering is whether your
product or service has
something that will
encourage a customer to
return.

adage that states, “it
costs 10 times more

customer than to retain
an existing one”.

begin to duke it out over
price. If you run into this
situation, it may be a bloody
battle you want to avoid.
Customers fall into
different categories.
Some buy strictly off price
and some are more
interested in quality or a
company’s experience.
The
Background of
the Study
The primary purpose of of
the background of the
study is to give the
readers an overview of
what the entire study is all
about.
It aims to introduce the
readers to the research
business topic and problem
that the study is trying to
address that will persuade
them that the study is
important and interesting.
Writing the introduction
section or chapter demands
careful attention since it is
found at the beginning of
the paper and usually the
first thing that a reader
encounters.
A well written introduction
catches the attention and
interest of the reader. As
well, it persuades them to
read the rest of the study.
It provide the reader with the
context and explain the
circumstances that led to the
study. It can discuss briefly
the specific problem, situation
or conflict of ideas that caught
your attention and compelled
you to select your research
business.
The researchers goes on to
describe the specific situation
surrounding the research business,
using facts from the literature to
support various arguments. In this
section also, the student researcher
tries to ascertain the suitability and
feasibility of the study, concluding
from the sufficient evidences drawn
from the previous literature.
In a nutshell, this is where the student
researcher initiates the subject of his
investigation using all obtainable
evidences and figures to establish its
groundwork. Note that even if there is
no standard number of pages that this
should take, the lengthier and well
focused the Background to the Study,
the better for a good and solid
groundwork for that research being
conducted.

Feasibility Study and Background of the Study

  • 2. Feasibility Study addresses things like where and how the business will operate.
  • 3. It provides in-depth details about the business to determine if and how it can succeed, and it serves as a valuable tool for developing a winning business plan.
  • 4. It attempts to answer two main questions: Will the idea work, and should you proceed with it?
  • 5. You must identify how, where, and to whom you intend to sell a service or product before you begin writing your business plan.
  • 6. You should also assess your competition and figure out how much money will be needed to start your business and to keep it running until it is well established.
  • 7. Why Are Feasibility Studies so Important? The information you gather and present in your feasibility study will help you:
  • 8. • Identify all the things you need to make the business work • Pinpoint logistical and other business-related problems and solutions
  • 9. • Develop marketing strategies to convince a bank or investor that your business is worth considering as an investment • Serve as a solid foundation for developing your business plan
  • 10. Feasibility studies contain comprehensive, detailed information about your business structure, your products and services, the market, the logistics of how you will deliver a product or service, and the resources you need to make the business run efficiently.
  • 11. Does Someone Want To Buy What You Are Selling?
  • 12. Accomplishment of a successful business all boils down to whether or not you have someone who wants to buy what you are selling or service to offer. Is there a market for your product or service?
  • 13. Another thing to consider as you review your product offering is whether your product or service has something that will encourage a customer to return.
  • 14. There is an old marketing adage that states, “it costs 10 times more money to get a new customer than to retain an existing one”.
  • 16. The goal of any business should be to make a profit. When setting up a business, consideration should be made on how to price the product according to what the market will bear.
  • 17. Align our product/services, target market and pricing to make a more sustainable and profitable business.
  • 19. Often when there is too much competition, businesses begin to duke it out over price. If you run into this situation, it may be a bloody battle you want to avoid.
  • 20. Customers fall into different categories. Some buy strictly off price and some are more interested in quality or a company’s experience.
  • 22. The primary purpose of of the background of the study is to give the readers an overview of what the entire study is all about.
  • 23. It aims to introduce the readers to the research business topic and problem that the study is trying to address that will persuade them that the study is important and interesting.
  • 24. Writing the introduction section or chapter demands careful attention since it is found at the beginning of the paper and usually the first thing that a reader encounters.
  • 25. A well written introduction catches the attention and interest of the reader. As well, it persuades them to read the rest of the study.
  • 26. It provide the reader with the context and explain the circumstances that led to the study. It can discuss briefly the specific problem, situation or conflict of ideas that caught your attention and compelled you to select your research business.
  • 27. The researchers goes on to describe the specific situation surrounding the research business, using facts from the literature to support various arguments. In this section also, the student researcher tries to ascertain the suitability and feasibility of the study, concluding from the sufficient evidences drawn from the previous literature.
  • 28. In a nutshell, this is where the student researcher initiates the subject of his investigation using all obtainable evidences and figures to establish its groundwork. Note that even if there is no standard number of pages that this should take, the lengthier and well focused the Background to the Study, the better for a good and solid groundwork for that research being conducted.
