Summary
To show what is fax and how is used the fax in a business not just
to receive and send document but to increase the sales.

Introduction
Business needs electronic devices in order to communicate with
others, one of the most devices used by a lot of companies to send
and receive important or quick documents is the fax.
The fax is as Wikipedia says, “is the telephonic transmission of
scanned printed material (both text and images), normally to a
telephone number connected to a printer or other output device.
The original document is scanned with a fax machine (or a
telecopier), which processes the contents (text or images) as a
single fixed graphic image, converting it into a bitmap, and then
transmitting it through the telephone system in the form of audio-
frequency tones.”
As the telephones use radio signal to send the information from
the cell base stations to other phones, the fax does the same using
the information that gather (text or images) and send it via radio
signal to other fax so then can be print the text or images.
Nowadays there are a lot of new ways to send information as
emails, etc. but somehow fax is still not old when we talk about
business. A company must have a fax machine who transmit and
receive information.

To share the benefits that the fax machines provide to the
business and why is so important.

Theoretical Framework
Fax machines make sending and receiving documents a quick
alternative to sending and receiving them via postal mail or other
delivery services. Any document that needs a signature or it is
urgent can easily be handled via a fax.
Usually companies use the fax machine for send or receive
information about a project or details about product or service
gives you. Also to send receipts of important data information.
Nowadays is difficult to see a company or business without a
computer or maybe without internet, but even if it is a little
unbelievable there some businesses that still choose the
communication via phone and fax machines. Most of them are in
areas where Internet is very slow or nonexistent, so a fax machine
connected to a phone line it works perfectly to achieve the goal of
the business.
You can send a lot of information through a fax machine as reports,
contracts, receipts, or list of sales, any account information and
some other like menus, emergency communications, the status of an
account and delivery information.
As we see fax is still a good way of business communication and an
effective one. We don’t need to much to do more than hooked up to
the phone line and we can send information to more than one
recipient and the same time. There is little that a fax machine can
envy of a computer / email system.

Methodology
Some companies use fax broadcasting to increase prospects and
make more sales. These affordable efforts come in particularly
useful if your target market is more likely to pick up a fax rather
than an email.
The faxes are sent to a programmed list of phone numbers all at
once, letting the machine handle dialing each number.
Broadcast faxes are often used for offering discounts or
announcing sales to a selected database. Faxes work especially well
for selling rapidly changing offerings such as real estate, daily rate
changes and tradeshow reminders.
Newsletters and press releases about your products and services
can also be sent by fax. Before using your fax machine as a
prospect calling machine, make sure your recipients are on board
with the idea of receiving the occasional fax about your offerings.
Otherwise, your faxes might be seen as junk mail, a sure method
for creating a barrier between you and your prospective client.

Findings
An unknown fact for me is that fax machines can also do the
function as a photocopier or printing like a printer connected to
your computer.
To print something from a fax machine was not unknown for me,
but the fact that the machines can printing like connected to a
computer doing the work of a printer is new information. I thought
it was only to print the information send from other fax machine
and nothing else.
Besides to photocopier in a fax machines gets expensive because as
the fax machine is not the right machine to photocopy, they are
not used to make a lot of copies and can run out of ink and the
cartridges of ink for a fax machine is more expensive than a
photocopier machine. You can use it, just to occasional documents
something that is needed as soon as possible.
So print or copy on a fax machine is something that you can do just
when it’s turn really necessary, because if you use the fax machine
as a printer or photocopier you can spend more than just buy a
machine that can make copies and print documents.

Conclusion
In summarize, fax machines are used by business to send and
receive information that is not just important to them but to the
recipient of the information.
A fax is like a telephone and a printer machine together, this
machine take the document information make it as a code and then
it is send via a radio signal (the telephones system of
communication) that at the instant send it to the recipient fax
machine so can be print and deliver.
A fax machine not just can send information to a various recipient
at the same time but also can print or copy like a printer or
photocopier. However, as the fax machine main task is not print
several document or copy them it is better to use it just in
emergencies or occasional cases. Because a fax machine ink
cartridge is more expensive than the printers one.
