She use to ride the boycott bus but than she stopped because of racism. she walked 9 miles to the Thompsons house because she didn't want to ride the bus. She use to walk 9 miles to the Thompsons house on heels. She got brand new pairs of shoes and a new jacket so she can be more comfortable when she walks. She was going to leave the Thompsons family because she couldn’t walk 9 miles every day but Mrs. Thompson decided to start picking her up.
