2. What is Faith
Faith (Tawakkul) is a light for our
hearts and a means for us to seek
nearness towards Allah (SWT).
The essence of this quality of the
heart is built upon two very
important pillars:
a) Dependence upon Allah and
b) Trust in Allah.
3. We may often trust a person,
without necessarily depending upon
them, and likewise we may depend
upon a person without fully trusting
them. However when it comes to Our
Lord (SWT), both should exist
simultaneously in perfection. So why
are we so ready to trust others, but
so quick to question Allah (SWT)?
4. The Amaanah (trusts) within our possessions
are only ours for a temporary period of time;
they belong to Allah and one day we'll have to
return them to Allah (SWT). When something
is taken away from us or we are faced with a
calamity, we should always remember that
Allah is testing our Eemaan (faith) and Allah
(SWT) knows that we are strong enough to deal
with it, otherwise it would never have come to
us in the first place, for Allah (SWT) never
burdens a soul with more than it can bear.
5. We should never lose hope and always
remember that the situation of a true
believer is always one of goodness. For
when we are granted a blessing from
Allah (SWT) we should praise Allah and
due to that we will be rewarded and the
blessings increase. When a calamity
strikes us, we should patiently persevere,
and as a result of which we will be
rewarded and granted something better
than what we lost.
6. ُّب ُِحي َ هاّٰلل َِّنا ِؕ هاّٰلل ىَلَع ۡلَّكَوَتَف
َنۡيِلِكَوَتُمۡال﴿3:159﴾
Put your trust in Allah. Allah
loves those who trust Allah
[Surah al-Imran 3: 159]
8. Benefits of Faith in Allah
1. Physical benefit
2. Psychological benefit
3. Social benefit
9. Allah (SWT) with Wisdom, Love
and Mercy knows exactly what is
good for us, so let us not be amongst
the persons who suspect Allah of not
granting us what we asked. So the
next time we stand before Allah
(SWT) and consult about our affairs,
don't think Allah will give you what
is good for you; know with certainty
that Allah (SWT) will.
10. We can see in Quran there are
some instructions we do not really
want to accept. This is due to our
limitations of knowledge. But we
must have faith in the words of
Allah. When Quran was revealed a
lots of scientific explanations in
Quran was not understood. But the
true believers did not doubt.
There certainly has come to you a
messenger from among yourselves. Allah is
concerned about your suffering, anxious
for your well-being, and gracious and
merciful to the believers.
Surah Tawba, Verse 128
But if they turn away, Say: Allah is
sufficient for me: there is no god but Allah
and Allah is my trust,- Allah is the Lord
of Supreme position.
Surah Tawba, Verse 129
