FAIRADD S
PLASTICISED EXPANDING
GROUT ADMIXTURE
Benefits
 Positive Expansion : Ensures permanent contact and high bonding to
ensure grouted surface
 Easy Flow : Plasticising effect facilitates placement and injection
 High Compressive Strength : Obtained with low water/cement ratio
 Improved Quality : Assists production of grouts free from water
pockets and bleeding
 Micro Cellular Grout Structure : Combined with reduced water/cement
ratio, provides improved resistance to both frost and fire damage
 Iron Free : Non-metallic iron content to corrode and cause staining or
deterioration due to rust expansion in the grout
 Chloride Free : Composition allows high early strength development in
grouts without the use of Chlorides.
Uses
FAIRADD S is used as an admixture for cementitious grouts where a low
water cement ratio and positive expansion are required. Applications
include bed grouting, duct grouting, non shrink in filling and jointing,
pressure grouting for tunnels and shaft linings.
Description
FAIRADD S is a combination of an expanding and plasticising agent. The
expanding agent, generates gas during the hydration process before the
initial set takes place, counteracts the natural settlement and shrinkage of
the grout. The plasticising agent enables high workability mixes to be
produced with relatively low water/cement ratio. Stability and cohesion of
the grout is greatly increased. The expansion is controlled to avoid excess
built up that is sufficient to provide high bonding of the grout to the contact
surfaces with the absence of voids.
It confirming to BS 8110 Part-1 : 1985, Section 8.9.4.6.
Properties
Chloride Content : Nil
Compatibility With Cement : Can be used with all types of cement
except high alumina
Compatibility with
Admixtures : FAIRADD S is generally compatible
with FAIRMATE admixtures used in
the same grout or concrete mix.
An unrestrained Expansion : 1-4%.
Pressure to restrain
plastic expansion : Approx. 0.004 N/mm².
Typical Strength Development
Compressive strength : Average strength (Kg/cm²) at flowable and
pourable consistency tested as per BS 1881 : Part 116, 1983.
