Light enters the eye through the cornea and iris, passing through the pupil to the lens. The retina contains rods, cones, and the fovea to detect light and transmit signals to bipolar and ganglion cells. These signals then travel along the optic nerve, through the optic chiasm and tract, and to the occipital lobe in the brain.
