Assignment
Having been discussing all different aspects of
mapmaking, I wanted to bring in an
assignment that dealt with people that used a
lot of them! I would like for you to create a
scroll that gives a two-paragraph biography of
a famous explorer from the 15th
. 16th
, or 17th
century. Please include information about when
the explorer was alive, where did they explore,
which country did they originate from? This is
a research assignment, so please remember our
rules on plagiarism! Please be sure to check
your spelling and grammar before turning in
your final copy.Please be as creative as possible for this assignment and please
be sure to decorate your scroll in a manner that is fitting for the
amazing explorer that you have chosen! Include hand-drawn
pictures of items from the time period that would have been
around when the explorer you have chosen had lived.
You MUST fill out the sources page on the back of this sheet
and staple it to your finished project. Your assignment will not be
collected if the source page is missing and points will be
subtracted for incomplete sources.
