The Question What is the relationship between p 4 student academic achievement in social science and the ICT use in the classroom ? Independent variable - ICT using in classroom Dependence variable - student examination result in social science classes
Statement of hypothesis ICT using in classroom is positively related to the student examination result s in social science classes . H A Mean 1  Mean 2
Participants and instruments Choose a sample primary school and two groups of p4 student. use some mathematic software to get the statistical data: mean, median, mode, standard deviation, Pearson’s r.
Research plan Non-equivalent control group design O X O O O
Execution of the research plan Give the students a test of social science. One group student study the social science with ICT using; the other group study the social science only. Give the two groups another test of social science. Compare the advancement of two group students.
The assumption of research findings (analysis of data) If a positive correction is found: H A Mean 1  Mean 2 ICT can equip student logical thinking by providing them a helpful scaffolding and inspire the students with interests. ICT provide a easy way for student to communicate their thinking each other, seeking help from expert, professional and teachers. If a negative correction is found : H 0 Mean 1= Mean 2 Using ICT can not lead a positive role in the process of teaching and learning. Or, ICT is not made best use in the classroom.
