For the duration of the summer, we completely instrumented a small engine given to us by a private company to convert it to run completely on natural gas. During the summer we installed all sorts of instrumentation including thermo couplesr, CO2 sensors, High preforming heaters, fabricated a simple intake system. The importance Of doing this is because we needed to know exactly what is going on with the engine and monitor even the slightest change. when trying to run an engine on a different fuel source all the temperatures and pressures in different chambers have to be at an specific point so in instrumenting the engine is a mandatory task. At this point the engine is running well but there seems to be some discrepancies between the meters on installed on the engine. After some further calculations then we may be able to get the engine up and running for a small amount of time.
Design and testing of automobile exhaust systemeSAT Journals
Abstract The aim of this paper is to provide deeper understanding of the dynamics of automobile exhaust system to provide a basis for the improved design & development of computationally inexpensive theoretical system model. Modeling, simulation & experimental investigation of a typical exhaust system are performed to gain such an understanding & to evaluate modeling ideas. These models incorporate adjustable flexibility in their connection to the exhaust pipes & a procedure is developed for automatic updating of these parameters to obtain better correlation with experimental results. The agreement between the simulation results of the updated models & experimental results is very good, which confirms the usability of these models. The main objective of this project is to design exhaust system and to compare its performance with an existing system available. The newly designed exhaust system shows lower back pressure which ultimately results better performance of the engine. Low vibration levels are critical to achievee in automobile exhaust system . It is therefore important design engineers to be able to predict, explain & assess the dynamics of various system design proposals during product development. With the growing emission from the conventional internal combustion engines leading to global warming, a need for a cleaner emission from IC engines is required. HCCI engines offers the best of both world - emissions of gasoline engines and efficiency of a diesel engine.
Stringent emission standards and the need to reduce greenhouse gas, CO2 emissions from vehicles has led to intensive research on new combustion systems namely, the Homogeneous charge compression ignition (HCCI) or controlled auto ignition (CAI) engines. At auto ignition temperature the fuel is auto ignited and a same amount of power will be produced as the traditional engines. Heating of catalytic converter reduces the emissions.
As we know air pollution is big challenge for the world
The air pollution due to automobile is 70% of total pollution of air pollution.
We have several way for controlling automobile pollution.
The most effective way is by using catalytic converter in automobile
In short catalytic converter are used to convert the harmful gas to harmless gas

A major part of the air pollution caused is due to the vehicular emission which is increasing at an alarming rate. The different types of vehicles like car, bus, truck etc. contribute a way as well as play a dominant duty in increasing air pollution. These vehicles find its running source mainly form the extracts of fossil fuels like petrol, diesel. The fuels undergo combustion to generate energy so as to support the vehicle for duty. The incomplete combustion of the fuels in the engine paves a way for production of products like the carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and particulate matters. A high emission level is therefore a proved result. For the purpose of forcing the fuel to have efficient combustion and for reduction of the emission levels for reducing air pollution a wide range of processes are applicable. These include improvising engine design, fuel pre-treatment etc. Among these wide ranges of options available catalytic converter is found to be a better way for establishing an efficient combustion in the controller engine of the vehicle. Usage of noble group metal is an effective way for effective combustion like the platinum group metal serves way good for reducing the exhausts. With the help of secondary measures efficiency of the engine is improved as well. The techniques are still under development as because there are some limitations of the catalytic converters which are needed to be dealt with but the application of this technique has better achievement points as well.

Supertech
The only one in the world that acts directly on the fuel inside the tank.
The Supertech: due to vibration, emits infrared electromagnetic radiation that cause a weakening of the intermolecular bond; this improves the interaction with the oxygen thus achieving an almost perfect combustion. The infrared radiation is energy that is part of the spectrum of electromagnetic waves and is generated by the vibration of molecules. All objects emit infrared energy.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

Exhaust system

Exhaust System.. How Important is it for Your Car?
Exhaust system of an automobile is an essential system, incorporated to remove exhaust gases
from the engine in a manner to reduces the exhaust emissions in the environment.
Before studying about the exhaust system components, it is important to learn about the engine scavenging process, which is used to remove the gases from the cylinder.
Scavenging is a process of forcing the exhaust gases to flow out of the engine through the exhaust valves with the help of fresh air that enters during the overlapping period of the valves i.e. period, when both the valves remain partly opened for a short duration.
Two-stroke Engines and Four-Stroke engines have different approach to scavenge the exhaust gases.
For a Four-Stroke Engine the scavenging air enters at the end of the exhaust stroke and beginning of the intake stroke.
Whereas for a Two-stroke Engine, the air is entered during the end of the expansion stroke and during the start of the compression stroke.
We know that the engine produces power by burning the fuel in presence of oxygen. However, while doing the same, the engine also produces some exhaust emissions, such as Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Nitrogen (N2) and Water (H2O). But these less emissions are possible only when a correct amount of fuel mixture is sent to the engine.
Theoretically the most correct air fuel ratio is 14.5:1 also known as stoichiometric ratio but in practical, this ratio is hard to achieve due to various factors, like driving habits, engine load, and speed; which causes the engine not to burn the fuel mixture completely and thus developes some unwanted harmful gases in the exhaust. Most common exhaust products include Carbon Monoxide (CO), Hydrocarbons (HC) and Oxides of Nitrogen (NOX).

These products are harmful for human beings and give rise to smog and acid rains. The problem of automotive exhaust was realized in early 50s. Different laws were established by the governments of different countries to control the emissions of automotive.Automakers were made to develop a separate exhaust system to save the environment.
