Physical activity refers to any movement that uses energy, exercise is planned physical activity to improve fitness, and fitness is the ability to perform daily activities without fatigue. There are three main types of exercise: resistance exercise which uses weights to build muscle; aerobic exercise like running to improve heart health; and stretching exercise to improve flexibility.
