Michelle Wang is a second year undergraduate student seeking a part-time retail position. She has previous experience volunteering at a charity shop where she helped process donations, price items, serve customers, and create window displays. These were the slides I used in the Remedial Instruction for Secondary School English Language Classrooms workshop during Connect_ED by Teach For Malaysia on 14 June 2014.
24 teachers were involved with the 75 minute workshop which is a snippet of a 2 day workshop I conducted for the Song & Kapit districts in Sarawak.
The slides contain basic concepts, pedagogies & activities focused on engaging & developing English language abilities in low proficiency students in Malaysia.

Planning in the region starts with a vision about what we want to be. Recently completed internship with the Angry Crab where I cross trained in different positions to get a better understanding of how everyone's position is extremely important. I have an understanding of every position and how they can be helped through out a shift.

Asked shop manager if could be responsible for creating the window displays, task which
excel in with new displayed outfits often selling quickly.
Getting to know some of the regular customers has helped to strengthen my

Worked in the food and produce department in the weeks leading up to Christmas, a
peak time for the store and very busy with customers.
2. Ensured gave each customer with a query individual attention, took them to relevant aisle
and helped to locate items, checked they had found everything they were looking for.
Used initiative working out which stock needed to go out on the shop floor quickly and
reported to section manager where supplies were low and needed to be re-ordered.
Role required knowledge of products and ability to work efficiently and with frequent
