The Work Of The Textile Industry Of A Man By The Name...
In America a man by the name Isaac Singer was working on a product that would change the
textile industry for forever. Singer lived from 1811 until 1875 and contributed too many
successful models both in business and that of design. These contributions would be seen over
the next 2000 years. When Isaac Singer was growing up he was being influenced by some of the
large changes going on around in the world. After Napoleon s defeat in 1814 an era of peace
began. This would kick start a world of mechanization. In the time that singer s sewing machinewas
being designed and produced the United States other countries were at the peak of the design
reform. This reform has several implications on Singer and his machine. His sewingmachine was

One of these designers was Samuel Colt. His approach to interchangeability of parts would be one
that influenced many designers to come. This interchangeability could be found among singers
machine and this made the up keep of his sewing machine easy. Another benefactor in Isaac s
contraption was Adam Smith s division of labour and Wgatt s guidelines for metal work. While this
was still frowned upon in the time of reform it was softened by the standardization of labour and the
introduction of education and laws. Another concept that was brought up in America was Eli
Whitney s model that involved the reduction of hard labour and this was demonstrated in his
Machine, the Cotton Gin. This machine was used to save labours hours separating cotton, this
concept of using mechanization to find ease in production was adopted into Singers sewing
machine. At this time in history women were starting to have more of a voice and were taking on
more household tasks and this ease of fabrication for textiles rather than hand stitching was very
appealing. However this revolutionary machine may have been more on the industrial side and was
not something that you would show off on your house as an ornament.
Isaac Singers three prong approach to design and marketing he stormed the world fair in England.
With Singer focusing on marketing that involved social movements that started to

David Wiesner s Wordless Picture Books Essay
David Wiesner s Wordless Picture Books
David Wiesner is a very artistic author. His love for art is portrayed through his style of work.
When flipping through the pages of his books, the reader is immediately drawn to the pictures.
A particular style the Wiesner is known for is wordless picture books. A wordless picture book is
exactly what it says; it is a book containing only pictures. A wordless picture book is a very
personal experience for the reader (Amazon.com). A child can benefit tremendously from this style
of book. Wordless picture books stimulate creativity and language, while at the same time
introducing a child to basic principles of books and reading.

There is not one correct interpretation, which allows children to be as creative as they want to be.
Language can also be developed through this style of writing. Without words on the page, it is up to
the reader to decide what is being said. The reader is given the chance to verbally add his or her
own words. This tremendously helps with language and vocabulary. The reader begins to create
thought that have a beginning and an end. One is able to enhance their vocabulary by seeing things
that they may not have seen before.
Through a wordless picture book, a child is introduced to the basic principles of a book. One of
these principles is the way in which books are read. Wordless picture books ...can accustom them
to the left to right pattern of reading... (Sutherland 84). The reader reads the pictures from the left
page to the right. In Sector 7, many of the pages have multiple pictures on them. The successive
pictures are stacked on top of each other. This may help the child learn that he or she is to read
from top to bottom, along with left to right.
The sequence of pictures throughout the book is also important. This allows children to learn that
books have story lines. The reader learns that every story has a beginning or introduction. Each
picture builds upon the last and are all connected. The reader is able to relate each

Marriage Relationships in Julius Caesar Essay
Marriage Relationships in Julius Caesar
The relationship between Brutus and Portia is of a loving one. Portia speaks to Brutus gently
calling him, my dear lord and `gentle this actually shows that Portia respects and honors Brutus.
Brutus also replies her gently and expresses his love for her in the lines `render me worthy of this
noble wife and `as dear to me as are the ruddy drops/that visits my sad heart . In these lines, Brutus
says that Portia is as dear to him as the blood in his heart. This shows that they have mutual respect
as well as love.
While the love between Portia and Brutus is equally reciprocated, we can see and contrast
Calphurnia s love for Caesar this way. Portias concern for Brutus ... Show more content on

Caesar assumes the stand that the time of death is all decided in the heavens and `will come
when it will come . His obvious oppositions to his wife s opinion are an indication that her
thoughts and opinions are not taken seriously and considered. Brutus on the other hand tries his
best to cooperate with his wife and makes an effort to find out about the troubles and worries that
she have. Brutus was the first to acknowledge his wife s presence and to ask about her, which
highlight his sensitivity to her. After Portia explains her concerns, Brutus tries his best to assure her
that everything is fine.
Portia kneels at the start of her conversation with Brutus. This shows that she is not ashamed of
begging her husband to for his own benefit. She evens stabs herself in the thigh to convince
Brutus that she us able to keep his troubles to herself. Calphurnia on the other hand, kneels only at
the end of her conversation, when she is desperate. Calphurnia also does not make any physical
sacrifices while Portia stabs herself in the thigh. She instead offers to sacrifice her public
reputation, giving Caesar permission to use her cowardly fear as an excuse for his absence from
the senate.
The husbands reaction to their wives sacrifice is also different. After Portia stabs herself, Brutus
exclaims that she is a `noble wife and agrees to let her in on the conspiracy. Caesar reluctantly

Deductive Active Listening Report
Active listening is described as the combination of talking and listening in a way that encourages
others to share more about their problems it is also seen as a form of feedback (Cournoyer, 2013).
The social worker not only has to listen to the client but understand the client by being present and
demonstration non verbal cues that makes the client feel listen to and comfortable in sharing more.
This practice skill was use during most of my time mentoring with the children in the program.
During my time with the child it was important for me to reflect I was truly listening to my client
and interested in her feelings. Based on the client opening up and sharing more intimate thoughts
and feelings it can be deductive that the use of my listening

Sinners In The Hands Of An Angry God Analysis
Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God by Johnathan Edwards details the significance of God s
wrath over the wicked and unbelieving Israelites. Johnathan Edwards cleverly explains the
reasoning behind why God punishes the unbelieving, the way that he does. Edwards writes this
sermon to inform sinners of the fatal agony that will be bestowed upon them if they continue to
rebel in Gods name and do not save themselves. His use of vivid imagery, symbols, and content
contribute to the power and persuasiveness of the torturous fate of God s wrath to sinners.
Edwards is skilled in creating a vivid picture to the audience of what he is talking about. ...as he

...their foot shall slide in due time... (156.4) This line symbolizes the punishment that God has
prepared for the wicked Israelites. Not only will they slip into the punishment, but it will happen
very soon and when they least expect it. This is very important in persuading the audience that
God is near and his wrath would fall upon them at any given moment. Edwards does a good job at
explaining this line in a multitude of views during his sermon. ...to come to that place of torment...
(159.26) That place of torment represents Hell. Throughout the entirety of the sermon, Hell seems
to mean torment, wrath, and destruction. To use the word torment gives off the sense that God s
wrath is ultimately horrible and the symbolization shows that. ...eternal death... (160.1) This line
showcases the results of eternal damnation and tells the audience that the sinner may never again
live and may not die happily. This is a powerful aspect in Edwards sermon because it serves the
purpose to scare unbelievers into the fact that God s wrath will never turn out good in the end. The
symbols in this essay do good to explain certain aspects of God s wrath without having to actually

Structure And Operation Of An Enterprise Architecture
Section 1: Summary
Enterprise Architecture represents a conceptual blueprint that defines the structure and operation of
an organization. The intent of an enterprise architecture is to decide how an organization can most
effectively achieve its current and future goals. Enterprise architecture looks at the current state of
the organization, it helps develop and evaluate current designs and create a sketch for the future.
As business analysts, enterprise architecture represents an input to understand the organizational
units that exist, their interaction with other organizational units, customers and suppliers, their
responsibilities within the organization and the roles and relationships within each organizational
unit [01]. It helps conduct stakeholder analysis, as it helps understand stakeholder influence and
attitudes.
In this research paper, we will analyze look at the context of enterprise architecture, the history of
enterprise architecture, and we will look at two popular enterprise architectures, the Zachman
framework and TOGAF.
Section 2: Context and History
Context:
Enterprise Architecture was created and aimed to solve two major problems prevalent in
organizations.
System Complexity Organizations were becoming larger and larger and IT costs were spiraling out

The Interaction Of Glucose And Exercise. The Objective
The Interaction of Glucose and Exercise The objective of this study was to see whether or not
exercise has an influence on glucose levels; If it does, then how much does it affect the levels?
What is the reason that outcome came about? These are just some of the questions that this study
hoped to provoke and shed some light on. Before beginning the experiment, a literature review
was conducted in order to gain familiarity with the topic and to build an expectation for the
outcome. Several studies were research, and it was cited how exercise can be used to help
regulate glucose in people with diabetes. The first study found that 2 3 minutes of maximum

All glucose levels in this experiment were obtained using a ReliOn Prime glucose meter and the
corresponding strips. The initial baselines were taken before eating breakfast and before drinking
any juice, coffee, milk, or water. Time of measurement ranged from 8:00AM 8:20 AM. After
obtaining a baseline test, Вѕ cup of oatmeal with 2T brown sugar and 1T of butter was eaten for
breakfast. Coffee with approximately 2t of half and half was drank at the same time. Breakfast
was done being consumed between 8:40AM 8:50AM. Blood glucose levels were then tested
two hours after breakfast, which fell between 10:40 10:50AM. Again, this exact schedule was
followed for each day a baseline was formed. The graph above illustrates the daily baselines and
changes. The preprandial average blood glucose level was 95 mg/dL . Postprandial, the average
blood glucose level was 109 mg/dL. On an average, the rate of change between the preprandial
levels and the postprandial levels was 14 mg/dL. This is a normal baseline for someone who
doesn t have diabetes or any other impairment of the pancreas (Joslin, 2007). For the second step
of the experiment, the same procedure as above was repeated. Except, before eating, twenty
minutes of light exercise ( LE ) was performed. Glucose levels were taken before, ten minutes
through, and after the twenty minutes was reached. Light exercise can vary from arm curls, brisk
walking, jogging, or walking stairs. For this particular study,

Speech On Vacation Transition Syndrome
With all of the attention that syndromes and disorders are receiving these days (ADD, PMDD,
chronic fatigue) I thought that we ought to take a few moments to discuss one of the most
crippling and least recognized conditions out there VTS.
VTS (Vacation Transition Syndrome) is the sense of inertia and lethargy even depression that
you experience upon COMING HOME from a really fabulous vacation, as you try to get your
sorry self in gear and return to the responsibilities and routine of ordinary DAILY LIFE. We
thought about hosting a telethon to raise money, but no one was willing to sit at a phone all day
on public television. So I decided to just offer a few helpful suggestions for getting back into the
swing of things when you return from your travels.

might have forgotten. You will thank yourself when you return home there s nothing worse than
coming back to a house that is a mess and a huge pile of to do s that have been sitting there waiting
for you all week. Then do the same thing on the return side. If you are coming back on Saturday,
leave Sunday free to RELAX and settle back into your daily routine. Whenever possible, I plan
my trips so I leave in the afternoon (giving me all morning to finish up any last minute errands)
and return on a Saturday or in the morning (so I have time to chill before re entering my life). Just

German Schools Vs American Schools
American schools and German schools have many differences.
In the United States, students customize much of their education, especially at higher grade levels.
They must study core curriculum, like math, English, and science, but also can choose what
language they take, whether they take art classes or shop class, and so forth. They make decisions
about what interests they wish to explore, and they can change that decision if they discover they
do not care for it.
German students have a much more prescribed curriculum and are not able to explore as many of
their own interests in the classroom. German students learn many of the same basics as American
students, but their education paths diverge earlier than students in the US. Starting in

Theme Of Taboo In To Kill A Mockingbird
In 1960 To Kill a Mockingbird was published by Harper Lee, leading to a revolution of change
that would forever alter America in our classrooms, our homes, and our government. The novel
would hold infamy for generations. The novel sets in the 1940 time period, and deals with heavy
themes of racism, and includes slurs and foul language. This noveldid win the Pulitzer prize despite
it being shunned as distasteful and offensive. I feel that the taboo that surrounds this book only
gives it more power in the sense that more people were exposed to it. People are drawn to the
things they cannot have, thus bringing this novel mass attention. To Kill a Mockingbirdfaced both

one of the top 100 novels ever sold in existence. In fact, it has sold nearly 40 million copies. This

`` Design Is For Living ``
Design is for living . The adage fashioned a widespread shift in design during the 1940s and
1950s. It revolutionized the form by creating an electrifying visual language that signaled a new
age and a fresh start two of the powerhouses were Charles and Ray Eames. The Eameses were a
husband and wife team whose unique synergy led to a whole new expression in furniture and
architecture. The couple advocated the principles of Modernism through the adaptation of
innova¬tion from wartime technology .Their design style can be branded as California
Modernism, a term that is often used interchangeably with Mid Century Modernism. This distinct
style embodied an approach to design that opposed the social conscience of the Bauhaus in order
to embrace looser, warmer design which was both more expressive of local character and in touch
with the realities of commerce and salesmanship. With the west coast coming of age, economy shift

Application Of A Digital Certificate
Joel Abstract: When one submits a request for information to a service, it being a HTTP or a
SOAP request SMTP or other protocols, one must ensure that the service is indeed the entity that
it claims to be (Rouse, 2013). In public key encryption, the verification of the public key origin
is especially important when one is submitting encrypted information over the internet which it
may be sensitive. Digital Certificates are the main method to verify identity of entities holding
public keys rendering services over the internet (Image 1) (Rouse, 2013). Image 1 Accepting

including a date of expiration (Gibson, 2014). When a certificate is minted, it has a day of
which it will expire. When the certificate expire, a new one will be minted. But if there is a
certificate theft, the certificate will be alive for the length of its life. The certificate owner will
mint a new one, but there is another certificate in the wild with equal legitimacy which can be used
to falsify someone s identity (Gibson, 2014). A stolen certificate can be a danger to secure internet
communication because a bad actor can impersonate a legitimate entity and thus potentially stealing
encrypted information (Gibson, 2014). There isn t a good way to revoke certificates. This paper

Sierra Leone is one of the many countries that are on the coast of West Africa. A rich country fell

Sierra Leone was robbed of their people by Great Britain, Portuguese, French, and Dutch before

Essay on The Impact of Blogging on Middle Eastern Society
Although millions of people around the world depend on a free press to convey them the news of
the day via newspapers, television, and the Internet, many countries in the developing world lack
the climate of openness that contributes to a credible press. It is a chicken and egg problem
(which came first, the free press or the democratic government?), but it is clear that a democratic
government contributes to a free press as much as the converse. Through the fog of decades of
war, the Middle Easthas had particular difficulty sorting out fact from fiction, propaganda from
proper news. While a free press cannot necessarily tell viewers which is which, it can give them the
information they need to know to draw their own conclusions. In this... Show more content on

that received international attention for its efforts to use citizen journalism to chronicle the war
through eyewitness accounts in a way that neither Al Jazeera nor embedded Arab journalists
could (McCarthy, n. pag.). Although the blog was written in English, it provided to English
speaking readers throughout the Arab world and abroad an intense and often witty account of
life during wartime. Capitalizing on the popularity and uncooked nature of Where is Raed?,
other Arab blogs began appearing online. Although early Arab bloggers also used English,
partly because Arabic language word processing technology was poor and partly because writing
in English offered a greater feeling of anonymity, as technology improved, Arabic language
blogs began to appear more with greater frequency (Hamdy, 93). Blogs such as Kefaya! and
Manal and Alaa s Bit Bucket could reach many more readers in the Middle East than English
language blogs and focused on themes popular with readers, such as government repression,
social upheaval, and political frustration. The blogs often posted shocking amateur video and
photography of police brutality that were not available to major Arab or Western news outlets
because of failure to obtain permission from the host governments to cover protests. As
readership of Arabic language blogs increased, so did the number of blogs themselves, reaching
nearly 40,000 Arabic blogs by 2006 (Hamdy, 93). By 2005, blogs were no

Summary Of The Legal Requirements And Guidance Relating To...
1. Analyse legal requirements and guidance relating to the safeguarding of children. Law and
guidance regulate the way you should work with children in your childcare setting to support and
encourage their well being and safeguard them from abuse and maltreatment. Legislation
provides a comprehensive instruction on what must be attained in respect to child protection and
safeguarding. Whereas Legal guidance is more precise and provides details on how the law
ought to be applied and fulfilled in early years settings and services. Laws and statutory
regulation are compulsory and should reinforce policies and procedures that are used in your
setting. Legal requirements Children Act 1989 Determines the duty of early year s practitioners to
identify and meet the separate and distinctive needs of children and to keep them safe. It initiated
the belief that the child ought to be at the centre of planning and that a child s well being and
safety are vital when judgements are made concerning them. This act also recognises the
accountabilities of parents in keeping their offspring safe. In this act there are two particular
segments that relate to the duty of local authority with concern to child protection, these are Section
17 States that services should be put into place to safeguard and promote the welfare of children

Compare And Contrast Gatsby And Death Of A Salesman
A man cannot become a hero until he can see the root of his own downfall (Aristotle). This
quotation accurately describes a tragic hero, which is a character with an imperfection, or tragic
flaw, that eventually leads to their downfall. In The Great Gatsby and Death of a Salesman, both
authors criticize the unattainability of the American Dream as both characters Gatsby and Willy
chase after their dreams. During the 1920 s, the American Dream is centered around obtaining
wealth any way possible. During the 1950 s, the American Dream focused on success through a
dignifying job. These decades both involve dreams of economic prosperity that becomes these
protagonists tragic flaws. Seeking to relive the past, Gatsby and Willy strive for wealth until they
similarly reach their deaths trying to achieve their dreams. However, these two tragic heroes come
from diverse backgrounds and surroundings that greatly influence their view of success.
While Jay Gatsby and Willy Loman are both tragic heroes, the impact of their environment and
people in their lives are very different. For Gatsby, success comes with the image of Daisy.
Gatsby is attracted to her voice that is full of money and draws him into this tragic illusion of
love that he continues following his entire life (Fitzgerald). In order to achieve this dream of the
past, Gatsby becomes a bootlegger and gets rich quick so that he can impress Daisy and win her
over again. This becomes his tragic flaw as he gets wrapped up in

For the entirety of the play, 12 Angry Men is set in the Jury Room. In the play it describes it as
A large, drab, bare room in need of painting. (p. 1) it s also A very hot summer afternoon (p.1)
which makes the Jury room even more unbearable then it would be on a normal day. With the
lack of working fans in the room the Jurors are left in there hot, sweaty and irritated. This effects
their emotions because they are unconfutable which makes them not care what they say or do. In
the film, this is exaggerated because Sidney Lumet exemplifies how the Jury room as drab and
bare. He also exaggerates how hot the Jurors are. You know something; I called the weather Juror
this morning. This is going to be the hottest day of the year. (7th Juror) Later on in the film the
director really shows how hot it is in the room by having the Jurors drenched in sweat. By
exaggerating this, the audience has a visual that helps them understand how hot the room is and
they can understand how awful it would be to be in the situation of the Jurors. With the room
being hot and uncomfortable it makes the all the Jurors angry and on edge. Most of the Jurors take
off their jackets, pull their ties down and undo the top button of their shirts as soon as they walk in
the Jury room. This mirrors they are feeling. Sidney Lumet has exaggerated the setting of 12 Angry

Nirvana Impact On Rock Music
During the 1980s, rock music was needing a taste of something new. Hair metal was becoming
inauthentic and only seemed to attract whatever it could, whether it was money or women. Rock
music needed to be saved (Sommer). Rock did not have many fresh styles or sounds since the
emergence of British bands such as The Beatles or Led Zeppelin. Enter Nirvana. Nirvana was a
grungerock band formed in Washington in 1987. The band consisted of lead singer and guitarist
Kurt Cobain, bassist Chris Novoselic, and drummer Dave Grohl (Erlewine). The trio would create
music that would shake the rock world. With blockbuster albums such as Nevermind and In Utero,
Nirvana made its footprint in the world of music (Erlewine). Nirvana was one of the most important

Kurt was known for being liberal. While Nirvana was successful, he would usually speak out on
issues he felt important when given the chance. Instead of speaking about grunge rock in every
interview, he would shift the conversation to discuss issues such as feminism and racism.
Nirvana had also played antiwar benefits before becoming big (Cross). In 1992, Nirvana
released the album Incesticide. His linear notes in the album urged homophobes to not purchase
Nirvana s albums or come to their shows. In Nirvana s 1993 album In Utero, which includes the
songs Polly and Rape Me that are about rape, Cobain hoped that the album would remove some
misogyny in rock to inspire women to start their own bands. Rape was one of the social issues
Cobain addressed and Nirvana performed at many benefit groups for anti rape groups. Nirvana
also performed benefits for anti hate, anti racism, and for gay rights (Cross). As women bands
started to form and become prevalent, Cobain would promote them during interviews by
wearing their shirts and many began to know him as a feminist because of actions like these. He
supported gay rights and during an interview with the magazine The Advocate, Cobain said he
was gay in spirit and that he was possibly bisexual. He wanted to be embraced by gays because
society deemed them to be outcasts, which is how Cobain viewed himself (Cross). Because of the

Secret And Forbidden Love In Nathaniel Hawthorne s The...

Title
Nathaniel Hawthorne s book The Scarlet Letter is a story of secret and forbidden love as well as
the cause and effect of this forbidden love, the setting is a Puritan colony in Boston, Massachusetts
around 1750. The main character Hester Prynne, a God fearing Puritan living within this
community, gets caught in the act of adultery when she is discovered to be with child whilst
having no husband. During this era, the punishment for adultery forced the adulteress or adulterer
to wear a scarlet letter A upon their bosom. While staying in prison, following the discovery of
her sin, Hester gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, which she named Pearl. Although some may
choose to look upon pearl as a gift from the devil, or as a rotten curse, Pearl grows to become a
reflection of both individual and collective human conscience, a personification of the scarlet letter,
and a symbol of light. Pearl represents a physical form of many character s consciences
throughout the novel. For instance, she is the voice of the collective conscience within her
community when she points the crooked finger at Hester in the forest. Everywhere Hester goes,
Pearl must follow and so she is a constant reminder to Hester that she must wear the scarlet letter
at all times, while on their walk in Chapter 16, Pearl tells her mother that the sunshine does not
(274) love her and it runs away and hides itself (274)because it is afraid of the letter. However,
after Hester has cast off the letter A Pearl refuses to come to her. Pearl often highlights and brings
attention to Hester s scarlet letter by inquiring about its purpose, this shows that while she may
represent the conscience of those around her, she is still a little girl trying to understand the world
around her. Pearl is not only of manifestation of a community conscience but she is most
importantly a physical manifestation of Arthur Dimmesdale s conscience. She sees most clearly his
inner desires and she is attracted to him from the beginning. During their first encounter when Pearl
is still practically a newborn, she reaches for Dimmesdale, and while he notices he does not give any

The, Loss, And Isolation Of The Novel The Twelfth Tale
The theme of The Thirteenth Tale is one of the major key points that makes the story feel the way it
feels. There are deep elements that come together to make this dark melancholy outlook throughout
the story. Many of which are the biggest contributor s is how the story portrays death, Jane Eyre,
loss, and isolation of the characters within the world.
By far the biggest contributor to the theme of the book would be death. Death is deeply explored
when Margaret discovers that she has a dead twin and when Margret also mentions death within
stories is what makes them interesting to her I read old novels. The reason is simple: I prefer
proper endings. Marriages and death. Margret s Story P. 29 She also believes that writers have a
way of staying alive even when death comes for them Yet for some there is an exception for this
annihilation. For in the books they write they continue to exist. P. 29 Death builds on the story, like
a puzzle. Each death is like a puzzle piece that helps put the full story together. The beginning of
the puzzle of Ms. Winters starts with George. George took care of Isabelle and catered to all her
needs, never denying her of anything, making her grow into an unstable person as she became
older. After attacking Isabelle after she threatened to be with Roland, taking her away from him,

I m a good looking, smart, young man with money and..I love you! I know you want me!
Do men objectify women based on stereotypes about what women want and need based on their
own selfish life plans regardless of how the women feel? This is the subject of discussion in Don
Quixote of La Mancha Book I, Chapter XIV, by Cervantes. This chapter begins at the funeral of
Chrysostom (aka Grisosotomo in some texts), and Vivaldo reads the poem Chrysostom wrote
about his love for the shepherdess Marcela and why he kills himself because she doesn t return his
love. Many of Chrysostom s friends accuse Marcela of cruelty and blame her for his death. Marcela

Chrysotom is a student, who does have his own money and something to offer Marcela but
pretends to be a shepherd in order to get near her; that was pretty dishonest of him, but all is fair
in love and war. When his trickery doesn t make Marcela fall for him, he commits suicide, which
seems very extreme. He kills himself after he is unable to obtain (i.e. turn into property) the woman
who, quite frankly, no one is able to obtain. This isn t the typical happy ending to the good life you
would expect in a pastoral story.
III The Despairing Lover Poem
The funeral ceremony starts as Vivaldo reads Chrysostom s poem. Chrysostom s friend Ambrose
begged Vivaldo to read the poem so that others could learn from Chrysostom s tragedy. At that
point it wasn t clear exactly what he felt the tragedy was. Did he think that Marcela was a cold
hearted woman that others should be warned to stay away from or did he feel that his friend was
an idiot for killing himself for a woman who he had no relationship with? It s clear from the very
beginning of the poem that Chrysostom was convinced that he was a victim:

Racial Profiling And Law Enforcement

Mr. Allman
1st Period

Racial Profiling in Law Enforcement The topic racial profiling is an ongoing debate that is
currently being argued in America. Before being able to help understand the faults of racial
profiling, one must know what it is. According to the National Institute of Justice, racial profiling
in law enforcement is commonly defined as a practice that targets people for suspicion of crime
based on their race, ethnicity, religion or national origin ( Racial Profiling ). Racial brutality tends
to be an outcome of most racial profiling cases. Racial profiling will usually be most casually seen
in traffic stops. Not only does racial profiling make police officers hypocrites for not protecting, and
causing distress to, the society they sworn to abide to, but it also makes them breach the
constitution of the United States of America. Racial profiling is an unethical, biased, and
unconstitutional practice in law enforcement.
As stated previously, one must have a good understanding of racial profiling and the topics being
further discussed. Beginning with the confusion of thinking racial profiling relates someone to
being a racist. Racially profiling someone does not make a person, in this case a police officer, a
racist. The actions the police officer takes towards profiling racially is what makes them a racist.
For example, one has to ask if the profile was based purely on racial prejudice which is having a
negative attitude toward

separated from death in the story? Clarrisa lives her life isolated from the world of death; she

Then at the end of the book, during the part she has spent so much time and effort on, the only
thing that the people are talking about is some random guy that killed himself. At first, it looks
as if Clarissa is outraged at the idea that someone would do such a thing to ruin her party, but then
something happens. Clarissa embraces the concept of death in a Poe esk manner, Death was
defiance. Death was an attempt to communicate; people feeling the impossibility of reaching the
center which, mystically, evaded them; closeness drew apart; rapture faded, one was alone. There
was an embrace in death (Woolf 180). That seems strange, that someone how has been so far from

Andrew Jackson And The Trail Of Tears
With every young country comes mistakes, and every good leader comes an awful one. When
President Andrew Jackson got elected into office, a massive amount of problems erupted and
many policies were broken. The main policy that Jackson broke was passing the Indian Removal
Act: the forced removal of the Five Civilized Tribes to relocate to land west of the Mississippi.
The Five Civilized Tribes were groups of Indians who took up territory within the United Statesbut
upon agreement of the United States government, acted as Europeans in order to be allowed to stay
living within the territory. However, with the unconstitutional act and Jackson wanting more land,
the loyal tribes had no other option but to leave and encounter the tragedy event known as the Trail
of Tears. Along of the journey on the Trail of Tears came ghastly hardships that are defined to be
one of the worst human tragedies in history. Therefore, Jackson was not justified in his policy
involving the Native Americans due to the tribes being unreasonably forced to moving, which lead
to one of the worst human tragedies that is known today. In history today, the amount of pain and
suffering that the Native Americans confronted is classified to be the most tragic event due to
Andrew Jacksons cruel leadership skills. From the beginning, Jackson was foreshadowed to be a
terrible President due to his wild behavior, but at the time, only some people were able to see

Apart from culture and law, different business customs also can influence management styles.
Business custom is part of a nation s culture. It has been formed in a long time, maybe several
decades, several countries, or even thousands years such as China and Japan. The custom includes
how to manage enterprise, how to treat customers, how to get along with leaders and subordinates.
Different countries and economic systems have different answers and standards. For example, in
China, face issue is important for individuals in traditional custom. And appreciation or
encouragements should be made before any criticism. If managers point out employees mistake in
front of other workers directly, the employee might feel ashamed and reluctant to cooperate with the
manager in future, which surely will bring barriers to management. There are also various customs
in different regions, management styles are also changing according to such differences.
I would like to take Japan and the US as examples to discuss how these key factors, culture, policy,
and customs influence management styles in specific circumstances. Obviously, Japan and the US

s feelings about the discrimination were evident from the beginning of the book.
He first talks about his opinion on the discrimination in sports when Rose tells him about his
son, Cory, wanting to play college football. In his words, he said, I told that boy about that
football stuff. The white man ain t gonna let him get nowhere with that football (Wilson 8). Due
to his failure to achieve his dream, he disapproves when his son wants to play football. Because
of Troy s failure in sports, his pain reflected on his son who also had a similar dream. He doesn t
want his son to go through the same pain he went through when he tried to join major league
baseball. He wanted his son to be successful at getting a job that would feed him and not rely on
sports because Tory knew that Cory wouldn t get a chance. Troy was also skeptical when his
first son, Lyons wanted to play jazz music for a living. Troy didn t want to even loan him any
money to help him and tried to convince him take the job picking up trash. When Lyons finally got
his chance as a musician, Troy refused to go see him play.
After quitting baseball, Troy went to work as a sanitation worker in

Standardized Testing A Student s Achievements
Standardized testing is a series of nationwide tests that is supposed to show a students
achievements throughout the year. For example, the SAT is a nationwide test that Juniors in high
school have to take to apply to colleges. Unless your SAT scores are between 1000 to 1600 most
will not look at your application. The real question is if standardized testing is an effective way to
testa student s achievements? Standardized testsare an ineffective way to measure a students
intelligence and academic achievements accordingly these tests should be changed or they should
be no more.
Standardized Testing can be biased and unfair to students. For example, if a student has special
needs, such as dyslexia, or is a non English speaking student. The majority of ... Show more content

Many people can argue that the standardized tests do not limit the curriculum but rather focus on
the important basic skills that all students need to master. According to a study in the Oct. 28, 2005,
issue of the peer reviewed Education Policy Analysis Archives, teachers in four Minnesota school
districts said standardized testing had a positive impact, improving the quality of the curriculum
while raising student achievement. The thing about standardized testing is that most parents
approve of these tests. Associated Press NORC Center for Public Affairs Research conducted a
poll to see how parents felt about standardized testing. The poll found that 75% of parents say
standardized tests are a solid measure of their children s abilities and 69% say the tests are a
good measure of the schools quality. 93% of parents say standardized tests should be used to
identify areas where students need extra help and 61% say their children take an appropriate
number of standardized tests. Standardized testing gives parents a good idea of how their child is
doing compared to the rest of the kids in the area and

Menarche in Mexico The term menarche refers to the first menstruation period of a young girl.
There are numerous factors that may cause a girl to begin her period early. Those factors are:
body fat, BMI, and nutritional status. Earlier menarche is brought on by obesity whereas
amenorrhea is common in women with a low BMI. Other factors that lead to early menstruation
include: stressful family circumstances, increased family conflict, divorce, longer durations of the
absence of a father in the home or the presence of a male who is not the father. Sexual abuse can
also influence early menarche. In Mexico, the majority of girls begin to menstruate at

Essay On Evaluative Conditioning
This current study examined if the pairing of the DE100 IPTV logo with a positive image of happy
graduates the experimental condition would result in more participants liking the DE100 IPTV
Logo than those in the control condition . This association being a principle of evaluative
conditioning where someone likes something because it has become linked in their minds with
something positive. After collecting the data, a chi square test showed the results were not
statistically significant, meaning that there were no significant differences seen between the
experimental and control conditions in how many participants reported liking the logo. Thus, it was
noted that the effect sizewas small and therefore the hypothesis made, that more... Show more

Moreover, although these findings were not consistent with earlier work into the theory of
evaluative conditioning such as that shown by Chen et al. (2012) cited in Brace (2014, p.160) and
Hollands et al. (2011) cited in The Open University (2014), many factors might be present into why
this study did not
accurately support this work. For example, choosing participants from amongst family and friends
might make them feel pressurised, to give answers that they believed were wanted. Thus, giving
false results when the data is analysed. This is a limitation as participants should be unconnected
to the researchers running the experiment. Yet the number of participants selected not being too
many or too small struck the right balance between size and effectiveness, this being a strength.
Additionally, only having a Yes or No answer, might limit the kind of data collected, and is
another limitation. However, if participants also wrote a short explanation of why they either
disliked or liked the Logo, then more precise data may have been obtained. Also, it can be argued,
the subject matter used may not have been a positive enough reinforcement image to show
participants, for them to reinforce a positive pairing with the DE100 IPTV logo. Since it could be
proposed that participants may have some form of bias towards liking celebrities over other
reinforcing images, as celebrities are constantly seen on screen and in publications. Furthermore,
when showing happy smiling

Swimming To Antarctica Summary
Swimming to Antarctica is a story about how Lynne Cox attempt to complete the grueling swim.
Lynne s goal to finish the swim is motivated by her effort, determination and bravery. Can Lynne
overcome her difficulties and finish the swim, or will she let it all slip away?
Lynne will be doing a mile long swim in the freezing, thirty two degree water. That is the
temperature when fresh water freezes. If Lynne s cells froze, then the body tissue could result in a
permanent life threatening situation. In Lynne s cabin she questioned herself, Would my core
temperature drop faster? , Would i be able to tell if I was in immediate danger? . Did she really want
to take such a risk, one part of her wanted it and another did not. The next morning Lynne walked
down to the ship s library and drank four eight ounce cups of hot water, and ate two small
croissants for breakfast. The reason she ate and drank these is because they are high in fat and
carbohydrates. Swimmers need these because the water is so cold the layer of fat would help
keep her warm. Gabriella came in to take a core temperature, it was about 100.4 degrees. This
was higher than usual, because she was so psyched. She rubbed sunscreen on her face, but none
on her arms and legs because she would be slippery if the crew needed to pull her out of the
water in an emergency. Before Lynne stepped out onto the ramp Dr. Block traced two veins in her
arm with a blue marker, it was just a precaution in case of an emergency. Though

The Controversy Over U.S. Domestic Surveillance
Ever since the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and an
area in Pennsylvania, in which nearly 3,000 helpless individuals were killed, the U.S. Congress
began to pass legislation that would strengthen the United State s counterterrorism efforts. Less than
a month after the horrific attack, the National Security Agency (NSA) started a special collection
program with intentions to track communications among suspected terrorists and Al Qaeda leaders.
Then on October 4, 2001, President George W. Bushauthorized the NSA to monitor domestic
communications in order to track down suspected terrorists. Two problems shortly arose from Bush
s decision: the fact that his authorization to NSA was carried out in secret and also that monitoring
the domestic communications was done without a warrant. This proved to be illegal since the 1978
Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Actstates that the government is prohibited from eavesdropping
inside the United States without first getting a warrant from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance
Court (FISA court). In order to counteract the issues he had caused, on October 26, 2001 Bush
signed the Patriot Act; a law that would expand the government s electronic surveillance powers.
After signing this law Bush stated, The existing law was written in the era of rotary telephones.
This new law that I sign today will allow surveillance of all communications used by terrorists,
including emails, the

Themes Of Violence In Dante In Love, Dante Alighieri
Introduction
According to English writer, A. N. Wilson, in Dante in Love , Dante Alighieri,
A.N. Wilson s perspective of Dante Alighieri as a poet, as well as a madman
According to (Wilson 2011), Dante Alighieri, author of the Divine Comedy, is a man whom
resembled both a poet and a madman. Wilson briefly emphasises in, Dante in Love , the two
contrasting depictions from Leonardo Bruni and Giovanni Boccaccio, of whom Dante was with
regards to the role that he played within the Florentine society and how it influenced him as a poet
in his work. (Sayers 1949), asserts that the Divine Comedy is an allegorical poem, influenced by,
Dante s theological, political and personal background .

The circle is broken up further into three separate sections of whom these acts of violence can be
imposed on. These sins of violence is taken on three different forms being: performing harm on
other people, harm on oneself or harm on God, as explain by Vigil in the eleventh canto of the
Divine Comedy (Sayers, Dante The Divine Comedy 1: Hell 1949).
The relationship between violence and Dante as a poet
The violence portrayed in the poem
The relationship between violence and madness
In accordance with the scenes of violence found in Dante s Inferno, a link can be found in Wilson s
argument that violent scenes within the poem can justify the possibility of Dante being both a
poet, as well as a madman. Dante s Inferno, as emphasised by A. N. Wilson, is a popular and
exciting read not only from the unpredictability of order of events (Dante wrote Inferno without
have a clear vision of how the poem will end), but for the poem s, sheer brilliance and beauty of
its words, its music , as well as for its, unforgettable characterization (Wilson 2011).

Social Media and Collaboration
If we look back to the time times of the Dark Ages in Europe, cultural progression was stunted by
deadly diseases and economic disarray across the continent. It wasn t until the Renaissance, a
golden age of rebuilding in Europe, that ideas of change and and prosperity began to flourish.
This period of time saw huge advancements in science, art, and literature across the world. Today,
hundreds of years later, we are currently in a golden age led by social media. Names like
Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter are the socio economic leaders of modern times, helping to
leading the charge of change. As a result, social media as a whole is a beneficial tool for human
communication and collaboration. In the 21st century, distance is no longer a limitation of
communication with family or friends. Social media can turn a thousand miles into a single
click. In fact, today the lines are clearly blurred because our online worlds [have become] an
extension of our offline lives (Pell). It is now possible to speak with entire networks of close
friends much faster than we ve ever been able to before (Brandzel). Sharing pictures of a vacation
in the Bahamas, speaking with potential business partners in China, or meeting a new date in
town, it s all possible now with social media. People s words and thoughts are limited only to the
speed of light traveling around Earth. Beyond its use just to communicate, the true potential of
social media shines with its ability to allow collaboration.

The Aryan Brotherhood, The Guerilla Family, And The...
Abstract
Prison gang/security threat groups are growing and impacting penitentiary s around the world in a
negative way. The Aryan Brotherhood, The Guerilla Family, and the Mexican Mafia are three of
many powerful and efficient gangs that flourished in a California prison. Each of these gangs has
its own differences and have a long term history that explains to the reader how these gangs started
their record of criminal acts such as murder, drug trafficking, etc. Correctional staff main goal is to
minimize the violence that come with the prison gangs. It is concluded that the best way to control
gang violence is through separation of members and enemies. Whether if it s through transporting
members to other prisons or through segregation. Studies have shown these findings may not
always be effective because of the growth of prison gangs and the unique ways of communicating
with other inmates in prison and on the outside world.
Prison Gangs and Security Threat Groups
Prison gangs are flourishing in modern prisons throughout the U.S. every day. Every gang has its
own way to distinguish themselves from other gangs. Colors, symbols, hand signs, race, and tattoos
are some of the characteristics gangs use to identify which gang each member belongs to. The
increase in gang activity has been a growing concern to correctional facilities because prison gangs
ultimately put staff and non members safety at risk. Gangs, such as the Aryan Brotherhood, Mexican

Public also like to deposit their savings with a popular and well established company which can
pay interest periodically and payback the deposit when due.
4. Retained earnings
The company may not distribute the whole of its profits among its shareholders. It may retain a
part of the profits and utilize it as capital. The company may use its retailed earning as long term
investment i.e. expanding business, purchasing machinery, etc.
5. Term loans from banks
As with short term finance, banks are an important source of longer term finance. Many industrial
development banks, cooperative banks and commercial banks grant medium term loans for a
period of three to five years. For businesses, using bank loans might be relatively easy but the cost
of servicing the loan (paying the money and interest back) can be high. If interest rates rise then it
can add to a businesses cost.

Ember Book Comparison
Compare Contrast Essay Could you imagine living in a world underground that has no light and

you imagine that. The book, City of Ember was published in May 2003. Jeanne Duprau wrote
this attention grabbing book because she wanted to put the thought in our minds to not take the
simple things like food, water, lights, and a roof over our head for granted. In this book the
similarities outnumber the differences. In both the movie and the book Lina is curious about the
mayor s actions and the government s decisions. On Lina s way to give the mayor a message she
finds herself getting lost in the building and lurking around where she isn t supposed to be and

difference is at the end of the story when Lina and Doon drop a note down to the city from above it

  • 2. The Work Of The Textile Industry Of A Man By The Name... In America a man by the name Isaac Singer was working on a product that would change the textile industry for forever. Singer lived from 1811 until 1875 and contributed too many successful models both in business and that of design. These contributions would be seen over the next 2000 years. When Isaac Singer was growing up he was being influenced by some of the large changes going on around in the world. After Napoleon s defeat in 1814 an era of peace began. This would kick start a world of mechanization. In the time that singer s sewing machinewas being designed and produced the United States other countries were at the peak of the design reform. This reform has several implications on Singer and his machine. His sewingmachine was made... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One of these designers was Samuel Colt. His approach to interchangeability of parts would be one that influenced many designers to come. This interchangeability could be found among singers machine and this made the up keep of his sewing machine easy. Another benefactor in Isaac s contraption was Adam Smith s division of labour and Wgatt s guidelines for metal work. While this was still frowned upon in the time of reform it was softened by the standardization of labour and the introduction of education and laws. Another concept that was brought up in America was Eli Whitney s model that involved the reduction of hard labour and this was demonstrated in his Machine, the Cotton Gin. This machine was used to save labours hours separating cotton, this concept of using mechanization to find ease in production was adopted into Singers sewing machine. At this time in history women were starting to have more of a voice and were taking on more household tasks and this ease of fabrication for textiles rather than hand stitching was very appealing. However this revolutionary machine may have been more on the industrial side and was not something that you would show off on your house as an ornament. Isaac Singers three prong approach to design and marketing he stormed the world fair in England. With Singer focusing on marketing that involved social movements that started to ... When flipping through the pages of his books, the reader is immediately drawn to the pictures. A particular style the Wiesner is known for is wordless picture books. A wordless picture book is exactly what it says; it is a book containing only pictures. A wordless picture book is a very personal experience for the reader (Amazon.com). Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There is not one correct interpretation, which allows children to be as creative as they want to be. Language can also be developed through this style of writing. Without words on the page, it is up to the reader to decide what is being said. The reader is given the chance to verbally add his or her own words. This tremendously helps with language and vocabulary. The reader begins to create thought that have a beginning and an end. One is able to enhance their vocabulary by seeing things that they may not have seen before. Through a wordless picture book, a child is introduced to the basic principles of a book. One of these principles is the way in which books are read. Wordless picture books ...can accustom them to the left to right pattern of reading... (Sutherland 84). The reader reads the pictures from the left page to the right. In Sector 7, many of the pages have multiple pictures on them. The successive pictures are stacked on top of each other. This may help the child learn that he or she is to read from top to bottom, along with left to right. The sequence of pictures throughout the book is also important. This allows children to learn that books have story lines. The reader learns that every story has a beginning or introduction. Each picture builds upon the last and are all connected. • 4. Marriage Relationships in Julius Caesar Essay Marriage Relationships in Julius Caesar The relationship between Brutus and Portia is of a loving one. Portia speaks to Brutus gently calling him, my dear lord and `gentle this actually shows that Portia respects and honors Brutus. Brutus also replies her gently and expresses his love for her in the lines `render me worthy of this noble wife and `as dear to me as are the ruddy drops/that visits my sad heart . In these lines, Brutus says that Portia is as dear to him as the blood in his heart. This shows that they have mutual respect as well as love. Johnathan Edwards cleverly explains the reasoning behind why God punishes the unbelieving, the way that he does. Edwards writes this sermon to inform sinners of the fatal agony that will be bestowed upon them if they continue to rebel in Gods name and do not save themselves. His use of vivid imagery, symbols, and content contribute to the power and persuasiveness of the torturous fate of God s wrath to sinners. In the United States, students customize much of their education, especially at higher grade levels. They must study core curriculum, like math, English, and science, but also can choose what language they take, whether they take art classes or shop class, and so forth. They make decisions about what interests they wish to explore, and they can change that decision if they discover they do not care for it. This noveldid win the Pulitzer prize despite it being shunned as distasteful and offensive. • 28. Secret And Forbidden Love In Nathaniel Hawthorne s The... Jordan Hendrickson Mr. Foster AP English 11 2nd period December 15, 2017 Title Nathaniel Hawthorne s book The Scarlet Letter is a story of secret and forbidden love as well as the cause and effect of this forbidden love, the setting is a Puritan colony in Boston, Massachusetts around 1750. The main character Hester Prynne, a God fearing Puritan living within this community, gets caught in the act of adultery when she is discovered to be with child whilst having no husband. During this era, the punishment for adultery forced the adulteress or adulterer to wear a scarlet letter A upon their bosom. While staying in prison, following the discovery of her sin, Hester gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, which she named Pearl. Although some may choose to look upon pearl as a gift from the devil, or as a rotten curse, Pearl grows to become a reflection of both individual and collective human conscience, a personification of the scarlet letter, and a symbol of light. Pearl represents a physical form of many character s consciences throughout the novel. For instance, she is the voice of the collective conscience within her community when she points the crooked finger at Hester in the forest. Everywhere Hester goes, Pearl must follow and so she is a constant reminder to Hester that she must wear the scarlet letter at all times, while on their walk in Chapter 16, Pearl tells her mother that the sunshine does not (274) love her and it runs away and hides itself (274)because it is afraid of the letter. However, after Hester has cast off the letter A Pearl refuses to come to her. Pearl often highlights and brings attention to Hester s scarlet letter by inquiring about its purpose, this shows that while she may represent the conscience of those around her, she is still a little girl trying to understand the world around her. Pearl is not only of manifestation of a community conscience but she is most importantly a physical manifestation of Arthur Dimmesdale s conscience. She sees most clearly his inner desires and she is attracted to him from the beginning. Racial Profiling And Law Enforcement Lizette Cervantes Mr. Allman 1st Period 1 March 2015 Racial Profiling in Law Enforcement The topic racial profiling is an ongoing debate that is currently being argued in America. Before being able to help understand the faults of racial profiling, one must know what it is. According to the National Institute of Justice, racial profiling in law enforcement is commonly defined as a practice that targets people for suspicion of crime based on their race, ethnicity, religion or national origin ( Racial Profiling ). Racial brutality tends to be an outcome of most racial profiling cases. Racial profiling will usually be most casually seen in traffic stops. Not only does racial profiling make police officers hypocrites for not protecting, and causing distress to, the society they sworn to abide to, but it also makes them breach the constitution of the United States of America. Racial profiling is an unethical, biased, and unconstitutional practice in law enforcement. As stated previously, one must have a good understanding of racial profiling and the topics being further discussed. Beginning with the confusion of thinking racial profiling relates someone to being a racist. Racially profiling someone does not make a person, in this case a police officer, a racist. The actions the police officer takes towards profiling racially is what makes them a racist. For example, one has to ask if the profile was based purely on racial prejudice which is having a negative attitude toward ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Why Is Mrs Dalloway Separated From Death In the story Mrs. Dalloway, the theme of death is extremely prevalent, but one character that is separate from that theme, essentially until the end of the book, Clarissa. Clarissa never faces death; despite, that she is living in a world that is so close to WWII. Why is Clarissa so separated from death in the story? Clarrisa lives her life isolated from the world of death; she goes on to her parties and other social events like they are the only important thing in the world. Then at the end of the book, during the part she has spent so much time and effort on, the only thing that the people are talking about is some random guy that killed himself. At first, it looks as if Clarissa is outraged at the idea that someone would do such a thing to ruin her party, but then something happens. Clarissa embraces the concept of death in a Poe esk manner, Death was defiance. Death was an attempt to communicate; people feeling the impossibility of reaching the center which, mystically, evaded them; closeness drew apart; rapture faded, one was alone. There was an embrace in death (Woolf 180). That seems strange, that someone how has been so far from death in the scope of the book would suddenly find such an embrace in it. When President Andrew Jackson got elected into office, a massive amount of problems erupted and many policies were broken. The main policy that Jackson broke was passing the Indian Removal Act: the forced removal of the Five Civilized Tribes to relocate to land west of the Mississippi. The Five Civilized Tribes were groups of Indians who took up territory within the United Statesbut upon agreement of the United States government, acted as Europeans in order to be allowed to stay living within the territory. However, with the unconstitutional act and Jackson wanting more land, the loyal tribes had no other option but to leave and encounter the tragedy event known as the Trail of Tears. Along of the journey on the Trail of Tears came ghastly hardships that are defined to be one of the worst human tragedies in history. Therefore, Jackson was not justified in his policy involving the Native Americans due to the tribes being unreasonably forced to moving, which lead to one of the worst human tragedies that is known today. In history today, the amount of pain and suffering that the Native Americans confronted is classified to be the most tragic event due to Andrew Jacksons cruel leadership skills. (2012) cited in Brace (2014, p.160) and Hollands et al. (2011) cited in The Open University (2014), many factors might be present into why this study did not accurately support this work. For example, choosing participants from amongst family and friends might make them feel pressurised, to give answers that they believed were wanted. Thus, giving false results when the data is analysed. This is a limitation as participants should be unconnected to the researchers running the experiment. Yet the number of participants selected not being too many or too small struck the right balance between size and effectiveness, this being a strength. Additionally, only having a Yes or No answer, might limit the kind of data collected, and is another limitation. However, if participants also wrote a short explanation of why they either disliked or liked the Logo, then more precise data may have been obtained. Also, it can be argued, the subject matter used may not have been a positive enough reinforcement image to show participants, for them to reinforce a positive pairing with the DE100 IPTV logo. Then on October 4, 2001, President George W. Bushauthorized the NSA to monitor domestic communications in order to track down suspected terrorists. Two problems shortly arose from Bush s decision: the fact that his authorization to NSA was carried out in secret and also that monitoring the domestic communications was done without a warrant. This proved to be illegal since the 1978 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Actstates that the government is prohibited from eavesdropping inside the United States without first getting a warrant from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA court). Which causes him not to assume she s the one spreading the rumors about him stealing the food and hiding ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
