Diagnosability versus The Cloud, Redwood Shores 2011-08-30Cary Millsap
In our increasingly virtualized environments, it's ever more difficult to diagnose application defects—especially performance defects that affect response time or throughput expectations. Runtime diagnosis of defects can be an unbearably complicated problem to solve once the application is sealed up and put into production use. But having excellent runtime diagnostics is surprisingly easy if you design the diagnostic features into the application from its inception, as it is being grown, like you would with any other desired application feature.
Optimizing Oracle licensing in VMware environments iQuate
Hosted by:
Jason Keogh – Founder and CTO, iQuate
Will Monin – Alliances Director, VMware
Virtualizing server environments carelessly can lead to significant, unexpected costs in relation to software licenses from vendors such as Oracle, Microsoft and IBM.
However, done correctly, Virtualization can actually significantly reduce software license costs while improving performance, scalability and reliability of enterprise applications.
Unfortunately, many customers are prevented from realizing these benefits because of widespread confusion and uncertainty around the implications of licensing Oracle in VMware environments.
This webinar will be jointly hosted by iQuate and VMware and is focused on Oracle database licensing. It will provide insights as to how best structure virtual environments to reduce costs while ensuring compliance and providing maximum ROI.
Intended Audience:
Professionals working in:
Software Asset Management
IT Asset Management
Procurement
IT Management
IT Operations
Anyone who needs practical guidance on maximizing ROI from implementing Oracle in virtual environments.

Continuous Availability for Private Database CloudsNoel Sidebotham
One important aspect of cloud computing is Availability; all Oracle solutions are built with availability in mind and Oracle provides a blueprint called the Maximum Availability Architecture and in this session we will look at the important aspects of this architecture and how you can achieve Continuous Availability for your private database cloud that extended to included non-oracle databases as well.
From this presentation you will learn about:
• The importance of Continuous Availability
• The Causes & Impact of Downtime
• Road map to building a flexible Maximum Availability Architecture
• Extending continuous availability to your non-Oracle databases
Databases are fundamentally changing due to new technologies and new requirements. This has never been more evident than with Oracle Database 12c, which has been the most rapidly adopted release in over a decade. This session provides a technical introduction to what's new in Oracle Database 12c and Oracle’s Engineered systems. We will describe which industry transformation inspired each enhancement and explain when and how you can embrace each enhancement while preserving your existing performance.
Take full benefit of Oracle Analytics on 12c DB offering In-Memory and new Data Visualization tools. Run this Analytics platform on the Oracle Database Appliance to allow for small size data warehouse applications with maximized security, high availability and performance.
Tame Big Data with Oracle Data IntegrationMichael Rainey
In this session, Oracle Product Management covers how Oracle Data Integrator and Oracle GoldenGate are vital to big data initiatives across the enterprise, providing the movement, translation, and transformation of information and data not only heterogeneously but also in big data environments. Through a metadata-focused approach for cataloging, defining, and reusing big data technologies such as Hive, Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), HBase, Sqoop, Pig, Oracle Loader for Hadoop, Oracle SQL Connector for Hadoop Distributed File System, and additional big data projects, Oracle Data Integrator bridges the gap in the ability to unify data across these systems and helps deliver timely and trusted data to analytic and decision support platforms.
Co-presented with Alex Kotopoulis at Oracle OpenWorld 2014.
COLLEGE BUS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM PROJECT REPORT.pdfKamal Acharya
The College Bus Management system is completely developed by Visual Basic .NET Version. The application is connect with most secured database language MS SQL Server. The application is develop by using best combination of front-end and back-end languages. The application is totally design like flat user interface. This flat user interface is more attractive user interface in 2017. The application is gives more important to the system functionality. The application is to manage the student’s details, driver’s details, bus details, bus route details, bus fees details and more. The application has only one unit for admin. The admin can manage the entire application. The admin can login into the application by using username and password of the admin. The application is develop for big and small colleges. It is more user friendly for non-computer person. Even they can easily learn how to manage the application within hours. The application is more secure by the admin. The system will give an effective output for the VB.Net and SQL Server given as input to the system. The compiled java program given as input to the system, after scanning the program will generate different reports. The application generates the report for users. The admin can view and download the report of the data. The application deliver the excel format reports. Because, excel formatted reports is very easy to understand the income and expense of the college bus. This application is mainly develop for windows operating system users. In 2017, 73% of people enterprises are using windows operating system. So the application will easily install for all the windows operating system users. The application-developed size is very low. The application consumes very low space in disk. Therefore, the user can allocate very minimum local disk space for this application.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

Sachpazis:Terzaghi Bearing Capacity Estimation in simple terms with Calculati...Dr.Costas Sachpazis
Terzaghi's soil bearing capacity theory, developed by Karl Terzaghi, is a fundamental principle in geotechnical engineering used to determine the bearing capacity of shallow foundations. This theory provides a method to calculate the ultimate bearing capacity of soil, which is the maximum load per unit area that the soil can support without undergoing shear failure. The Calculation HTML Code included.
