Media A-Level A2 Coursework - G324 Evaluation Question #1 (In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?)
1. EvieGreen
Female solo artist..
To come up with the first name we googled baby names,
and then went through magazines to find a surname.
We liked this name because it is quite different, quirky and
innocent sounding.
2. Artist Image
We have decided to go for a quirky but girly style, as we
feel it fits in with the genre of the song.
Evie has her own fashion range, which she will wear in
her videos – using product placement to promote her
clothing line.
3. Artist Representation
Evie will be the typical girl next door, and easy to relate
to for her young adult audience
She will promote individuality, and will be a positive role
model for teenage girls
4. Messages and Values
Evie wants her fans to embrace their individuality, and
not be ashamed of their flaws
She will promote a positive body image
The songs will have a main theme of relationships as she
wants her fans to be able to relate to her music
5. History and Career
Evie has been supporting acts such as Ellie Goulding
for the past couple of years, and is beginning to
make her own impact on the music industry
6. Track/Genre
The song will be Foundations, this song is about the
breakdown of a relationship, and how the female is
trying to hold it all together
The genre will be indie/pop, this also fits in with the
artist image
7. Style of Promotional Material
The design of the Digipak and album advert will be
simple, using pastel colours, which will match the style
of clothes that Evie will wear in her video for Foundations
8. EvieGreen
The font we have used for Evie’s name was
chosen because it is different, but not too
over the top
We have given Evie the logo of a stick girl
because it is simple, and an already well
known image
9. Video Ideas
As the song is about the break down of a relationship, so
we hope to show this theme throughout the video itself.
We would like to show Evie in various locations, showing
her arguing with her boyfriend, there will also be flash
backs to a time when they were happy.
10. Target Audience
The target audience for Evie will be females age 16-25.
We feel this is appropriate because Evie’s songs will
mainly be about relationships and love – something this
age group will be able to relate to
