The music video challenges conventions by focusing solely on the lead singer rather than the whole band. There is a relationship between the lyrics, visuals, and upbeat music. Close-up shots of the singer mouthing the lyrics are prominently featured. Audience feedback praised the location, use of objects to illustrate the lyrics, and engaging camera work, but suggested using more natural effects and additional distracting objects. A variety of media technologies were used for research, planning, filming test footage, gathering feedback, and evaluating the project.

2. In what ways does your media product develop, use or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? My music video features some aspects of Goodwin's theory... There is a relationship between the lyrics and the visuals. Elliot emphasizes the lyrics in the song through using objects such as an umbrella and a chalk board to act out what its like to not be in control and reacting to everything. There is a relationship between the music and the visual, Elliot because the song is very upbeat the movements that he makes are just as upbeat and energetic. The use of the guitar also suggests that there is a relationship between him and the genre of music. The demand for lots of close-up shots. There are many close-ups of Elliot in this video. Lots of them he is shouting the lyrics of the song at the camera. My music video challenges Goodwin's theory because we do not feature the band Glory Glory in our video. Elliot is the main focus throughout the whole video and not the band. Goodwin thought in a music video there is always a big demand for the artist to feature and be at the centre of attention, here we have challenged this but still created a video with relationship between the visuals and music.

3. How effective is the combination of your media product and ancillary texts? The digi-pak and magazine advert along with the music video all work well together. The house style on the music video, magazine advert and digi-pak is very similar, its all mostly a mixture of greens and greys and black and white. The fonts are mostly all the same font apart from the bands logo. I think it represents the genre of music quite well . I wanted the supporting texts to be neutral compared to the video which is quite loud and in your face. Looking at the music video and supporting texts, I believe there is a clear connection between all of them through the House style and the images which are featured in them.

4. What have your learned from your audience feedback? I surveyed eight people using survey monkey asking questions such as ‘Do you think this music video represents the genre of music well’ and ‘What do you think could be improved’ Positives..... The location The simple use of objects in the video to display a physical reaction e.g. The chalk board, umbrella, cakes etc. The lyrics of the song are well illustrated through the narrative. The part where Elliot's playing up to the camera with the umbrella works well, draws you in as an audience. Its busy and fast cut, so grabs your attention and keeps you interested. Lots of different camera angles. Improvements..... People thought that the effects used were very manipulated and could have been more natural. Could have had even more objects that were distracting him e.g. A kite, bubbles etc.

5. How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages? Technologies used when researching…. Google – for researching artists and gathering information on Jake Nava (music video director) YouTube – researching music videos that inspired and gave ideas for our music video e.g. Coldplay; Violet Hill. Wikipedia - used for researching the punk/indie culture that the genre of the song ‘Physical Reaction’ is from. Slideshare – enabled me to upload PowerPoint presentations up onto Ning, It also let me embed music videos into the presentation. Ning – used this to upload and present all my research and findings. MySpace – Glory Glory’s MySpace page gave me more information on them, things such as upcoming gig, their influences and photos of them. Technologies used when planning…. Windows Movie Maker – aloud me to create an animatic storyboard for one of the ideas for our music video. Camera - Used to film the test footage. Technologies used when evaluating..... Survey Monkey – Used for feedback on my music video. YouTube – used to look at my music video and help evaluate. Microsoft PowerPoint - To record all my findings when evaluating.
