Final Cut Pro – Directors Commentary
On Final Cut Pro X, I recorded the Directors Commentary for my
music video. This included adding in freezeframes so that I could
talk over the shots to explain the conventions that were either
challenged or adhered to and why this was done.
I recorded the audio clips using Quicktime Movie Player and then
imported them into my music video. It was difficult trying to get
the freezeframes the right length for the audio and also the
transitions used in the actual video made the freezeframes glitch
so these had to be deleted to complete the commentary.
ThingLink
ThingLink is a technology that I first used in my AS Media
evaluation. It is such a helpful way of being able to evaluate
each point without having to do the usual text and
screengrab approach because it allows you to write about
the features on the actual page without completely covering
all the work.
This is one of my favourite technologies I have used as it
looks really neat but is also fun and easy to use.
Emaze
During the evaluation of my A2 Media products was the first time
that I had used Emaze, I used it to evaluate the technology used in
constructing my media products.
Emaze is a really creative and fun technology and it is easy to use
and it looks really smart, this is why I used it as I wanted the
presentation to look professional and also be easy to access. This
is one of my favourite technologies that I have used and I wish I
had used it sooner to be able to incorporate it more in my
coursework due to the practicality and simplicity of it.
Prezi
Prezi is a technology that I became familiar with during AS
media, it is so user friendly and also makes the presentation
of it look really interesting instead of a basic slideshow, this
is why I wanted to use it not only in my evaluation but also
throughout the course.
