This document summarizes how the film addressed and attracted its target audience. It aimed to attract both younger and older audiences by being set in the past in black and white like older films but also incorporating only segments of color like Sin City to appeal to younger viewers. It also aimed to attract male viewers through attractive females and mysteries and female viewers through themes of romance and relationships. The film's dark nightclub setting and themes of magic and magicians further broadened its potential appeal.

1. Evaluation Task 5 How did we attract/address our audience?

2. To begin with we are attracting an audience between the ages of 18-30. Our thriller goes straight into black and white, which an older audience would be attracted to. This instantly tells the audience that it is set in the past. This would also attract an older audience. On the other hand it would attract a younger audience as well because it is filmed in the same way as sin city. Including only segments of colour.

3. A male audience would also be interested because there are two young attractive females in it. One of them is wearing a body hugging dress as well. The male figure in the thriller is rather mysterious, this would attract females. Having the thriller set in a dark night club also attracts the younger audience because they can relate to it.

4. Because our film is to do with magicians and magic it would attract an audience that were into the mystical side of things. It again also targets a wide audience because it links in with sin city which was a very popular film. The colour concept is the same as we wanted it to appear more mysterious and almost comic like.

5. Women may be interested in the relationship side of the film. During the clip we don’t actually see the brutality of what’s about to happen until the end. Therefore women may be want to see the film because they think there could be a romance between the young girl from the audience or even his assistance.
