2. To get the audience to feedback to me I did the following uploaded it
onto YouTube and got some responses and I also showed it to a
focus group and a couple of people and showed them the advert. By
getting feedback from YouTube I generated a lot more of a wider
range of feedback. I thought it was essential to get a varied
response from multiple people, so that I could reflect on my
achievements and improvements. I chose to gather feedback on my
longer advert and my short one both of them so I could gather more
feedback and see what other thought.
From reviewing the feedback I received I was pleased the majority
response as it was very positive, there was praising for some of the
editing and people loving the song choice and it was an easily
followed narrative and concept. All of the addressed points made me
feel confident that if I were to release this particular TV advert it
would be easily understood by its audience after having a few minor
tweaks in editing just to give it that edge.
3. However, I did receive some constructive criticism, which I learned
more from then the positive comments that were made. This was
because I could look back and rectify my mistakes and take time to
look at them. Some of the criticism that was raised was that some
scenes were a bit jumpy but I knew how to complete that mistake
which I may have overlooked as I was proofing the advert. Another
criticism was I could have used more varied shots using more shots
then it could have given my advert that edge that a product needs
to make it big in the market. This may have been due to the slight
error in editing but with the criticism I can now be aware in any
future developments.
Reflecting back on the feedback I received I am very proud of my
advertisement and how it was received by the public. Even though
a few errors were addressed it helped me amend any problems I
felt as such, and the advice would help me in anything in the future.
