How does your media product
represent particular social groups?
In our film we had 5 characters. The Boss Man, 2 Bodyguards and 2 Enemies. Each
representing a social group of there own. Personally I believe that, because of the genre
of the film (Crime) all of the characters would be associated with the same social group.
Criminals are all associated with crime and all 5 of the characters in my film are criminals
in some sort of way so that is why I would group them together.
All Characters in the film:
Enemy 1 – Harry Enemy 2 – Brendan Bodyguard 1- Cameron Bodyguard 2 – Nick
My Character (The Boss) will be on the next slide, along with the inspiration behind it.
The Inspiration behind my character’s costume designe was Tommy DeVito and
Henry Hill from the movie GoodFellas. This is because, when we were doing
research we came across this picture of the two of them and thought that this would
be perfect for me and Nick (A Bodyguard) as we already had the shirt required and
our movie was based around the idea of crime. This is the character the bodyguards
and myself were trying to be, and personally I believe that we did a very good job of
impersonating them during our film.
