1. 4. HOW DID YOU USE MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES IN THE
CONSTRUCTION AND RESEARCH, PLANNING AND
EVALUATION STAGES?

2. • Final Cut pro was the most instrumental piece of software that I used
in creating my music video
• I used final cut pro in the editing process of my music videos to sequence
and visual effects
• I also used it in the construction and planning stages of my production as
it was an easy way for me to quickly edit and view my test shots
• I used a variety of transitions throughout my video such as cuts, fades
and prolonged crossfades

3. PHOTOSHOP CS6 & INDESIGN
• I used Photoshop to edit the digipack and magazine advert for my project
• It enabled me to get a professional and high quality look to my products
that couldn't have been achieved with inferior software
• I used the tools on photoshop to alter things such as the
brightness,contrast and exposure of photos I had taken
• I also used to crop images down so that I would only edit the particular
section of the image that I needed
• I used Indesign to help me construct my album digipack
• I found it particularly helpful as it made much easier to place the images
in the correct layout as you were able to download digipack templates

YOUTUBE
• I used Youtube primarily in the researching and planning stages of my
production
• I begun by using as a tool for inspiration by looking up lots of music
videos, it also has the added benefit of suggesting similar videos to the
one you are watching which makes it easier to discover new things
• It also came in useful in the evaluation stage as it gave me way of
sharing my video with a worldwide audience as well as my peers
• This assisted in getting me feedback for my product so I could get a
better idea of how it could have been improved

SOCIAL NETWORKS
• Social networks like Facebook and messaging applications like
Whatsapp helped me both in the construction, research and
evaluation stages of my project
• Having a instant messaging app on my phone meant that I could
easily contact and coordinate meetings and schedules with others
remotely and free of charge
• Twitter allowed me to see how the stars of the music video I had
enjoyed utilised social media to promote their work and engage with
their fan base
• Facebook was useful in the evaluation stages as it allowed me to
share my final product with my peers and to ask for their opinion

STORYBOARD THAT
• I used Storyboard That in the construction and planning stages of my
production
• It helped me to plan as I used it to quickly and easily draw out
storyboards, it also has the added benefit of being easy to edit once
you've finished it and is stored on the website so I didn't have to worry
about it being lost or damaged unlike physical drawings
• It also came in useful in the construction stage as it made it easy to
see what scenes to do and in what order they came in when I was
filming
• This meant that when we did meet to film we wouldn't waste time
trying to think up a way of filming a scene as we already had a
reference and simply needed to follow it

SLIDESHARE
• I used Slideshare in the research and planning stages of my
production
• I used it in my research stages as it allowed me to view other peoples
presentations on theories and analysis for inspiration
• I also used it to upload presentations for my blog as it was stored
online and meant it was safe and could be accessed anywhere
