2. The title of the film
We have chosen the name ‘Stalker’ because almost instantly, the
audience will recognise that this film will be about a stalker following
someone. This also hints that the film will be a horror film. The title comes
at the end of the film opening as it will set the scene of the rest of the film
for the audience. It will also peak the interest of the viewer making them
curious to see the rest of the film. The title zooms into the screen after the
film opening finishes with short suspense music.

3. Title Font & Style
For all of the credits, we used the same font and style. We wanted the
audience to focus on the scenes and not the credits as much. The titles
fade out and would either appear on the right or left side of the shot. The
font of all the titles look large and bulky.

4. Props
The props used for the Protagonist:
School Clothing (Shirt, Tie, Trousers, Jacket and school shoes)
School Bags
The props used for the Antagonist:
Black Hoodie
Black Trousers
Smart Shoes

5. Costumes
Akib was the protagonist and was dressed as a school student which
consisted of a shirt, tie, trousers, jacket and school shoes. He also had
two school bags. He was dressed like this so that the audience will
instantly know that he is a student and might be able to relate to his
situation of being a student. It will also create sympathy for the student.
The stalker, on the other hand, was wearing a black hoodie, black
trousers, shoes, a mask and was holding a knife. This made the stalker
look very thug-like and will make the viewer scared upon seeing him.

6. Camerawork & Editing
All of the footage was very still and not shaky. This was because we had used the
tripod for the majority of the shots. If any of the shots were shaky while filming, we
would film it again by setting the tripod down because holding it up could make the
camera shake more. We used one basic transition and this was a cut edit. We
didn’t use fade transitions as this would’ve made the film opening look like a story.
We also used a range of pan movements to show the audience what the character
sees.

7. Setting & Location
We used different locations which were indoors and outdoors. The main
location was outdoors because Akib (The Protagonist) was killed by the
stalker on his way home. We had a range of different outdoor locations
such as outside the school building, forest pathway, roads and the field.
Akib was killed outdoors in an isolated area which was the field as it is
very common for people to get stalked in a quiet area.

8. Story and how the opening sets it up
The narrative of this film is quite simple for the viewer to understand. It is most
typical in horror films. There is a serial killer going around murdering people,
stalking them before killing them. This clearly shown in our film opening. The
stalker’s identity is hidden by a mask and this is because it will make the audience
curious as to who the stalker is. The opening sets up the film by showing a student
who finishes his after school club and heads home. He is eventually killed by the
stalker and this makes the audience sympathetic for the student.

9. Genre and how the opening shot shows this
The main genre of our film opening is Horror with a subgenre of Thriller. The
horror conventions are clear and the opening keeps the audience on the edge of
their seats. This is due to the film opening being quiet and suspenseful making it
quite scary. The thriller convention is the suspenseful music and the mystery
behind the stalker. The mask that the stalker wears is a convention of horror and
thriller because it makes the stalker seem scary as well as mysterious because of
the secret behind his identity.

10. How the characters are introduced
The protagonist is introduced as a quiet student and is shown as soon as the
opening of the film begins. The protagonist seems like a normal student who
finishes his after school club. The antagonist was introduced as the protagonist
makes his way home. He was standing still on the pathway, blocking it from the
protagonist. He was shown from behind to create suspense for the viewer.
