2. Focus Group Criticism
In our evaluative screening of our trailer, one of the biggest issues was with our
narrative. I do agree with this as we only really have the titles to explain our story. If
we were to redo our trailer, I feel that including more dialogue between the victims
would fix this issue because we could include some more key plot points.
3. Focus Group Praise
In our focus group screening the special effect throat cut at the end was praised for what
it was, but a real effect such as a blood pack may have looked better. We received
roughly an 7 out of 10 for our trailer, which I am fairly happy with.
4. Improvements
We filmed a few more shots that we edited in near the beginning of the trailer to try help
convey the narrative, the shots in particular are close-ups on a phone with some text to
try and show what’s going on, plus reaction shots. I think this does help a little, but I’d
like to add more shots to develop the story.
5. Evaluation Screening
I am fairly happy with our Evaluation Screening, we were expecting some criticism
about our narrative which we did receive, but also the music didn’t have as good of an
effect as I would have hoped for. Even though our evaluation screening wasn’t shown
specifically to our target audience we got some encouraging comments
