This document analyzes 115 patents related to Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity standards that have been monetized through acquisition, assignment, or intellectual property financing. Optis Cellular Technology owns 15% of the patents, while Qualcomm owns 12% and Intel owns 9%. Most of the patents were monetized through acquisition, with Ericsson and Nokia acquiring 22% and 16% respectively. The majority of patents are related to WiFi (24%) and NFC/RFID (17%) standards. 27% of the patents analyzed received a Wisdomain valuation grade of B+ or B0, indicating they are in the top 20-50% in value relative to other patents in their technical fields.
