Audience feedback for rough cut
Things that went well:
 There were various different types f
camera angles used through out the
advert.
 The music was in pace of the advert,
so it fit in .
 It looked like a real advert
 The transitioning through the
different shots was ‘ brilliant’ .
Things that could of been better:
 The person filming should of kept the camera more
steady.
 Should of used different kinds of lighting.
 Needed more actors
 Some parts of the editing could have been done
better.
Audience feedback review for Rough cut
By having the
audience feedback,
I found out that I
needed more actors
in my advert, this
was to make the
advert seem more
realistic.
My audience also
said that I could of
edited the advert a
bit more better, I
should of taken
time when placing
my music.
My audience that I
should used a
various of lights,
this would of made
my advert look a bit
more unique.
Another thing my audience
mentioned was that the camera
man should have been more careful
when shooting, the reason being for
this is because at some parts of
advert the camera wobbled which
made the advert look un
professional.
Production and Pre production process:
The major thing that didn’t go well in my production at the beginning was the filming, the reason
for this was because initially I was working with one of my class pupils but cause he wasn't helping
me at all I decided to leave his group right at the end when I had nearly come to the end of the
filming and editing of the advert; the major reason for leaving was because I thought that the
advert didn’t turn out to be what I thought it would turn out to be, not only that but I thought I
was doing everything alone I needed a partner who would do some sort of work towards it too and
also have a second opinion. At the end of everything I had left my class mate to finish the advert
on his own and re-shot mine with my boyfriend and other class mate. Due to this massive change I
had to get letter made and get them signed by my teacher to get my boyfriend to come into
college and help me out, not only this but I had to give up my lessons to finish filming and editing
in one whole day. Another problem caused by this change was that I had to find music, which was
hard because their want many things that went with the rhythm of my advert. The feedback that
I have received for my rough cut was that I should of added more actors to play on the pitch to
make it look more professional, another thing I should have had different kinds of lighting;
however my target audience said that there wasn’t much need for actors and that cause it was
sunny it made the advert look professional, so different lighting was necessarily needed. The
thing that didn’t go well in the pre production and production process is that thing we weren't
divided evenly, so my partner wasn’t doing things they were meant to. The thing that went well
was re- shooting the advert and editing it all in one day.
Areas of improvement
If was to do this advert again I would pick a better person to
do it with I wouldn’t rush into the idea straight away.
Another thing would be I would run through the story board
before shooting and see if I can do the idea and also make
sure I have al the props their before shooting. A major thing
that I would improve would be my rapport with people in my
group, so that we can work as a team and get the work done
together. Another thing I would improve would be my editing
skills, so that I can produce a even better level of work and
advert. Furthermore I think I need to focus on improving my
camera skills especially with the DLSR camera; learning how
to change the ISO. I can improve my skills when working with
a partner by having the guts to tell them what to do and not
leaving it to one person to do everything.
Audience feed back for final music video
review.
After the audience feedback was given I thought it was
extremely useful, it shoed me the points I did not consider or
think about whilst filming or editing. I added a few shots
where the light was a bit darker, but I couldn’t add more then
two shots extra because it made my advert too long and also
the music wouldn’t flow with the advert and it wouldn’t have
a rhythm either. If I had to do this next time I would add
more actors and more different types of transitions an
example would be dissolve effect. At the end of this I have
achieved my main purpose which was to show my audience
that Nike trainers are the best for football. After the
feedback from the rough cut I improved all that could be
improved a example would be different lighting.
The intended purpose and meaning did
you ahchieve this?
The main purpose for my advert was to create a unique advert for
Nike and also to use my own idea to create it. The atmosphere I
wanted to create in my Nike advert was unique atmosphere, a
atmosphere that Nike is the best and that nothing is better then
it. I believe that o created that atmosphere but I could of focused
on Nike more. Furthermore I also believe that the footage I shot
went extremely well with the music I chose which was also to do
with football and Nike.
Choice made during production
The choices I made during the production were changing
the camera angles, this was because the story missed a
point and It didn’t make sense, I decided to take a long
shot of the ball flying in the air. When deciding the music I
decided to add two different tracks, this was because the
first track was about Nike and the other one of the primer
league theme songs. This was chosen because it was
related to football. During production I changed some of
the story board and took some un-necessarcy shots out
because I realised they were just a waste of time; an
example would be a shot where the two actions would be
leaving their house to come play football.

Evaluation for advert

  • 3. Audience feedback for rough cut Things that went well:  There were various different types f camera angles used through out the advert.  The music was in pace of the advert, so it fit in .  It looked like a real advert  The transitioning through the different shots was ‘ brilliant’ . Things that could of been better:  The person filming should of kept the camera more steady.  Should of used different kinds of lighting.  Needed more actors  Some parts of the editing could have been done better.
  • 4. Audience feedback review for Rough cut By having the audience feedback, I found out that I needed more actors in my advert, this was to make the advert seem more realistic. My audience also said that I could of edited the advert a bit more better, I should of taken time when placing my music. My audience that I should used a various of lights, this would of made my advert look a bit more unique. Another thing my audience mentioned was that the camera man should have been more careful when shooting, the reason being for this is because at some parts of advert the camera wobbled which made the advert look un professional.
  • 5. Production and Pre production process: The major thing that didn’t go well in my production at the beginning was the filming, the reason for this was because initially I was working with one of my class pupils but cause he wasn't helping me at all I decided to leave his group right at the end when I had nearly come to the end of the filming and editing of the advert; the major reason for leaving was because I thought that the advert didn’t turn out to be what I thought it would turn out to be, not only that but I thought I was doing everything alone I needed a partner who would do some sort of work towards it too and also have a second opinion. At the end of everything I had left my class mate to finish the advert on his own and re-shot mine with my boyfriend and other class mate. Due to this massive change I had to get letter made and get them signed by my teacher to get my boyfriend to come into college and help me out, not only this but I had to give up my lessons to finish filming and editing in one whole day. Another problem caused by this change was that I had to find music, which was hard because their want many things that went with the rhythm of my advert. The feedback that I have received for my rough cut was that I should of added more actors to play on the pitch to make it look more professional, another thing I should have had different kinds of lighting; however my target audience said that there wasn’t much need for actors and that cause it was sunny it made the advert look professional, so different lighting was necessarily needed. The thing that didn’t go well in the pre production and production process is that thing we weren't divided evenly, so my partner wasn’t doing things they were meant to. The thing that went well was re- shooting the advert and editing it all in one day.
  • 6. Areas of improvement If was to do this advert again I would pick a better person to do it with I wouldn’t rush into the idea straight away. Another thing would be I would run through the story board before shooting and see if I can do the idea and also make sure I have al the props their before shooting. A major thing that I would improve would be my rapport with people in my group, so that we can work as a team and get the work done together. Another thing I would improve would be my editing skills, so that I can produce a even better level of work and advert. Furthermore I think I need to focus on improving my camera skills especially with the DLSR camera; learning how to change the ISO. I can improve my skills when working with a partner by having the guts to tell them what to do and not leaving it to one person to do everything.
  • 7. Audience feed back for final music video review. After the audience feedback was given I thought it was extremely useful, it shoed me the points I did not consider or think about whilst filming or editing. I added a few shots where the light was a bit darker, but I couldn’t add more then two shots extra because it made my advert too long and also the music wouldn’t flow with the advert and it wouldn’t have a rhythm either. If I had to do this next time I would add more actors and more different types of transitions an example would be dissolve effect. At the end of this I have achieved my main purpose which was to show my audience that Nike trainers are the best for football. After the feedback from the rough cut I improved all that could be improved a example would be different lighting.
  • 8. The intended purpose and meaning did you ahchieve this? The main purpose for my advert was to create a unique advert for Nike and also to use my own idea to create it. The atmosphere I wanted to create in my Nike advert was unique atmosphere, a atmosphere that Nike is the best and that nothing is better then it. I believe that o created that atmosphere but I could of focused on Nike more. Furthermore I also believe that the footage I shot went extremely well with the music I chose which was also to do with football and Nike.
  • 9. Choice made during production The choices I made during the production were changing the camera angles, this was because the story missed a point and It didn’t make sense, I decided to take a long shot of the ball flying in the air. When deciding the music I decided to add two different tracks, this was because the first track was about Nike and the other one of the primer league theme songs. This was chosen because it was related to football. During production I changed some of the story board and took some un-necessarcy shots out because I realised they were just a waste of time; an example would be a shot where the two actions would be leaving their house to come play football.
