The document discusses a teaser trailer proposal that challenges conventions of real trailers. Specifically, it includes a narrator throughout like many trailers, and tells a storyline similar to past films to make it relatable. It portrays the action/drama genre through constantly moving characters and fast cuts to build suspense. These elements follow conventions of the genre and real trailers, making the proposal fit conventions of a real media product.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

How to Create Map Views in the Odoo 17 ERPCeline George
The map views are useful for providing a geographical representation of data. They allow users to visualize and analyze the data in a more intuitive manner.
1. In what way does your media product use, develop or
challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
My proposal which is a teaser trailer challenges the conventions of a
real teaser trailer because it consists a number of elements that you
see in modern day film advertising. For example, from the beginning to
the end you hear a narrator speaking throughout the trailer. This is a
convention that we found will researching other trailers of similar genre
and the reason why we added this to the proposal. The narrative of my
proposal is similar to other films that have been produced in the past
such as Kidulthood and Anuvahood. Because of this I believe my
proposal will work well with the audience as they will be able to
understand the storyline and relate to it in some way or another. Also,
our teaser trailer's genre is Action, Drama which I believe we have
successfully portrayed in the teaser trailer. The characters you will see
are always on the move as the trailer goes on, we continuously jump
cut fast to build suspense and interest. This can be seen in other trailers
of the genre and is the reason why I believe my proposal fits the
conventions of a real media product.
2. What have you learned from your audience
feedback?
What I learned for our audience feedback was that some people
understood the plot where as others did not. Some also mentioned
that it was too short. The reason why it was too short is because we did
not start producing our proposal until very close to the screening as we
had issues in the beginning such timetable/ scheduling mix ups and so
forth. Some people would be free at times when others weren’t and
we had to take our actors into consideration also. Some of the feedback
highlighted the point that some people in the audience were unsure as
to whether or not it was a trailer or music video. This is understandable
as were ourselves can admit after self-reflection that we did not make
this as clear as we could have. This confusion also came about as we
had a very up-tempo and catchy instrumental playing in the back
ground of the first proposal. Most of the audience liked this and this is
shown in our feedback. We also did not have enough scenes illustrating
where the story was going or any narration driving the plot forward
during our first proposal. People that did understand the plot of the
trailer also understood the genre that is was as well which is a positive
thing. The audience loved couple of our shots which were fast pace
which kept the audience interested as mentioned in the feedback, as
they revealed they wanted to carry on watching it to see how it would
end.
3. How did you use media technologies in the construction and
research, Planning and evaluation stages?
The media technologies we used in the construction and research were
Youtube, Prezi, Slideshare, Survey monkey, Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe
Photoshop and Adobe After Effects. We used the google search engine
to help us find articles on trailers, genre conventions, and statistics for
primary and secondary research. We also used a program called
Audacity for the narration.
We mainly used all 3 of the Adobe programs mentioned for the editing
process of our teaser trailer, I played the main role in the final product
and contributed to the pre-production work and directing for the
product. I also suggested elements such as the narrative and shooting
locations available for us to use.
4. How effective is the combination of your main product and
ancillary texts?
After researching different options we decided to make both a
film poster and magazine front cover. This is because we could
not decide which one to go with and we were happy to create
both. We feel as though both are as good as each other and
both are very effective in combination with our final product.
Both the film poster and magazine front cover have been
produced to a high quality and to the best of our ability;
looking as good as real media products. The narrative of our
product revolves around the fact that there are two sides ever
coin and two-types of people in life. Good and bad. This is
shown in the film poster through the half-and-half split of the
main image of both the protagonist and antagonist. We also
decided to only use the grey scale (but mainly black and white)
for coloring of both the film poster and magazine front cover.
This is because white and black are connotations of good and
bad, thereby making this an effective combination to use with
our final product.
