My front cover includes the following
conventions of the masthead:
-Largest text on the page
-Bold colours to attract the person
-Unique Font
My front cover also includes the following
conventions of Cover lines:
-They give an insight on what is going to be
in the magazine
-One of the cover lines link to the main
image
I have followed the following conventions for
the positioning statement of the magazine
cover:
-Above the title
-Clear colour
My front cover includes a colour theme of red
and white as these colours are bold and
noticeable against the main image.
For the splash I have followed the following
conventions:
-Bold, bright colour
-Stands out against the rest of the cover

• I used Photoshop to
create my magazine

• I then added text on
to the page and
shapes used for the
splash.
• I added colour to
them to make them
stand out.
• In also added an
image of a barcode in
the corner of the
page.
• I used Quark to
create my contents
page.
• I added photos on to
the page.
• I also added text
including the title and
the contents.
• The text was written
in columns to make it
clear where the text
belongs.
• I then added two
more images.
• I finally added colour
to some of the

and your use of the new media technologies?
Strengths:
• Different sized/coloured font used for
the masthead
• Masthead stands out more than the
rest of the page
• None of the text covers the face
• Includes barcode and issue date
• Includes a splash
Weaknesses:
• Title isn’t aligned to the left
• Needs more font styles used on the
cover lines
• Some of the cover lines could be
hard to read from a distance
Strengths:
• Includes images on the page that link
to articles
• Includes page numbers and
descriptions
• Columns for the different articles
• Name of the magazine under contents
• Different sized text used
• Contents title is different font
