The Macs
Throughout the process of producing my magazine and blogging I
found it very easy and quick to use the macs. I used the macs
both in and out of school, due to the easy access to them in and
out of school I found it very easy to quickly get on with my work
and I found no problems that stood in my way preventing me to
work. I found keynote, an app on the macs, easy to use that
helped my presentations look professional and neat. Overall,
using the macs was very beneficial and I will continue to use
them in the future.
Pixlr
Pixlr is an online editing website that I used to create my magazine front
cover, contents page and double page spread article; drafts and final piece. I
proceeded to use this editing website due to all it’s possible editing tools and
options to enable me to create a professional yet stylish magazine. Pixlr is free
which was really helpful when it came to editing my magazine front
cover, contents page and article drafts. It is also very simple and easy to use
pixlr. All you have to do is add the photo you want them add the text you want
by choosing from various different fonts, and also by using such editing tools
like; airbrush, heal, and doodle.
Overall, the whole of the pixlr editing software enabled me to created a
professional looking magazine easily and quickly.
I found Prezi complicated to use at first but once I had mastered it I
felt that it was useful in terms of presentation for research and
preparation. I used Prezi in order to create stylish and professional
looking presentations for my blog posts. Prezi allows me to clearly
layout my text and images in order for the reader to easily read it
without any troubles. On Prezi it also allows you to add boxes, brackets
or a circle around the text to help separate the texts enabling it to be
easier for the reader to read.
Overall, apart from the delay in figuring out how to work Prezi, I found
Prezi a very easy way of presenting my work that both looked very
professional yet effective.
Slideshare was a lot harder for me to get the hang of. I found it
complicated and harder to make the presentation on powerpoint and
then have to save it and upload it on to slideshare. Whereas, on prezi it
was much easier to just type your presentation out there and then.
However, slideshare involved of lots of different stages which confused
me. The presentational side of slideshare is very effective and clear for the
reader to view, however, I found slideshare a waste of time due to the
amount of time it took to make it.
I used slideshare for my evaluations only and not for my research and
planning. Although, slidehsrae is very effetive and looks good, in terms of
time management I felt that it was a waste of time.
Safari
I used the Safari internet browser on the macs both in and out of
school. The safari was very helpful when it came to researching and
planning my magazine and also helps me with my evaluation. It is
very fast compared to other internet browsers and it also allows you
to have many tabs open at once. This was extremely helpful as it
allowed me to be logged in on many different website at once
enabling me to quickly flick through the different tabs which was very
beneficial in terms of getting my work done.
Overall, the safari was a very good source to use and I will definitely
be using it again in the future.
Blogger
Blogger was one of the main forms of technology that I hadn't used
before. I know some people had made blogs before we started our
coursework, but I hadn’t, so I didn’t really know a lot about blogger
when I first started. But I realised that blogger is a very useful and
effective way of presenting all of my work. It is very easy to get the
hang of and is very easy to use. I like on blogger how you can easily
scroll through your posts and edit them if needed, also it was easy
to see how I have progressed from the start.
IPhone 5
I used my iPhone 5 purely because it was the easiest thing to use
due to it taking good quality pictures and easily being able to
download the pictures to my laptop. However, I do feel that in the
future that I should invest in a better camera that would produce
more professional looking pictures.
