What kind of media

 your media product and
            why?

     film institutions

Looking back to my pitch presentation the 3 films I
found to be similar to mine where distributed by..

 • The Day the Earth Stood Still - 20th
   Century Fox
 • Prometheus - 20th Century Fox
 • Paramount pictures - War of the
   Worlds
Which would distribute my
             film ?

• Considering the last slide I think 20th century fox would be most
likely to distribute my film this is because they seem to have the
most number of science fictions films that they have distributed.

• The two that are most like mine are “The Day the Earth Stood Still”
and “Prometheus” this means that they might well be interested in
     a film like mine

• “Another Earth” is a picture distributed by Fox Searchlight which
specialise in independent and British films. This seems like a better
distributer for my film as mine is a independent and a british film
and very similar to Another Earth.

• Fox Searchlight would also be a good choice as my film is quite I
new idea and could be a risk to support as I am a new director. 20th
century may not take the risk with it.
Who would be the
audience for your
 media product?
•The target audience for my film will be 15 - late 30 year olds as this is what I
would like it to reach and more if possible.

•Unfortunately my questionnaire did not reach enough range of people to give
me accurate readings and if I were to do it again I would try and get it out to as
many different people as I can.

•Instead I ended up making it how I think people would like it and tried not to
restrict the age group to much by setting my certain stereo-types
How did you attract/address your
          audience?

• As I said before I tried
    not to limit my target
    audience.
• I tried to keep the
    character as wide
    spread as possible
• By having a younger
    character dressed a bit
    older it should address
    a larger audience
• My main protagonist is the being that arrives
  in my opening sequence
• This is our creator so I think it does not restrict
the target audience and allows a lot of people
to relate to this; people interested in the
meaning of life, scientists, younger viewers as
will be a typical Action Sci-fi film as well.
