My magazine aims to attract a young, predominantly black audience aged 16-30. It represents this group through the frequent use of black models and inclusion of slang words. While not as well-known as Vibe magazine, it follows similar conventions in its layout, covers, and use of images and fonts. The magazine would likely be distributed by IPC Media to attract a wider music fan base, as they currently only release one mainstream music magazine.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
Ā
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an āinfrastructure container kubernetes guyā, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefitās both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
Ā
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.
Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10

Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But thereās more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, youāll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the āApproveā button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
Butāif the āRejectā button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message

LF Energy Webinar: Electrical Grid Modelling and Simulation Through PowSyBl -...DanBrown980551
Ā
Do you want to learn how to model and simulate an electrical network from scratch in under an hour?
Then welcome to this PowSyBl workshop, hosted by Rte, the French Transmission System Operator (TSO)!
During the webinar, you will discover the PowSyBl ecosystem as well as handle and study an electrical network through an interactive Python notebook.
PowSyBl is an open source project hosted by LF Energy, which offers a comprehensive set of features for electrical grid modelling and simulation. Among other advanced features, PowSyBl provides:
- A fully editable and extendable library for grid component modelling;
- Visualization tools to display your network;
- Grid simulation tools, such as power flows, security analyses (with or without remedial actions) and sensitivity analyses;
The framework is mostly written in Java, with a Python binding so that Python developers can access PowSyBl functionalities as well.
What you will learn during the webinar:
- For beginners: discover PowSyBl's functionalities through a quick general presentation and the notebook, without needing any expert coding skills;
- For advanced developers: master the skills to efficiently apply PowSyBl functionalities to your real-world scenarios.
Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Ā
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as āpredictable inferenceā.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

distribute my media product and
why?

magazine would not be sold in corner shops
because itās not a low class magazine. Itās a
moderate/high class magazine with a fairly
wealthy target audience.
9. Who would be the audience for my
media product?
The target audience for my magazine is young males and
females aged 16-30.
I used the VIBE website to help me determine the age
group that I would aim my magazine at.
10. My double page spread (interviewing an
upcoming music artist) would attract an audience
that is interested in pursuing a music related
career whether it be singing, producing etc or just
music in general.
The price of the
magazine (Ā£3.95)
suggests that my
audience would be of
middleclass/high class
because my magazine is
fairly expensive.
A typical reader of my
magazine would be in
their mid 20ā²s and live
in a middleclass area
with an average-
high paid job.
11. How did I attract/address my
audience?
I attracted my audience by
mentioning all the hottest, most
recent artist on the front cover to
grab the attention of the youth. I also
used an equal mixture of known male
AND female artists to attract fairly the
same amount of each gender.
Photo manipulation: I cut
out her image and put it
against a black background
to make her skin stand
appear more radiant
(attracting the male
audience.)
I conformed to the Rule Of Thirds but
alternated between colours to make
the front cover more outstanding
and eye catching.
12. I used slang words, informal
language and abbreviations
throughout my magazine making it
easier for my young target audience
to relate to.
I manipulated this picture by brightening the skin tone, cutting it out
and putting it against a black background to make the skin appear
more radiant (to grab the attention of the male audience).

14. I used Microsoft Paint to help me analyse
magazine covers, contents pages, and double page
spreads from well known magazines such as VIBE,
HipHop etc. Using this software I annotated
pictures, created lines/arrows coming from the
pictures (pointing to their descriptions) and
circled/highlighted important features on the
pictures. I found it extremely easy to use this
software because all he features are very clear and
simple to use.
I found a website called Slideshare in which I could post
presentations on my blog and make them look more
presentable and neat. It was very easy to use this website
because everything on I was very straight forward and self
explanatory.
All of these software's/websites were very easily accessible.
Software's such as GOOGLE and Microsoft Paint were
extremely simple to open whereas with WORDPRESS,
Slideshare, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign I had to register or
make a personal account. But I still think they were fairly easy
to access.
