The European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing aims to increase the average healthy lifespan of Europeans by 2 years by 2020 through collaboration and scaling up of successful innovations. It focuses on six intervention areas and has two streams of action to achieve a triple win for health, quality of life, and economic growth. A roadmap outlines steps to engage actors to implement innovations more widely, including facilitating partnerships between organizations and regions, implementation support, and monitoring impact. The strategy aims to link this work to other EU initiatives regarding digital markets, investment, and making the most of economic opportunities from an aging population.

the relevant actors into concrete actions towards
the implementation of innovations in practice, be

5. Step 4 – Facilitating partnerships
 Build relations between "originating" and "adopting" organisations
 e.g .twinning, coaching, learning networks and partnerships
 Systematic diffusion of good practices, via e.g.:
 inter-regional collaboration networks (e.g. EUREGHA, ERRIN, CORAL,
AER)
 knowledge exchange platforms
 Commission, Reference Sites, Action Groups:
 facilitate collaboration through dedicated match-making / twinning,
study visits, staff exchanges, short-term secondments
 facilitate partnerships between MSs and regions for sharing
knowledge and programmes, transfer of good practices

10. Implementing the Scaling up Strategy in AHA
A roadmap for 2015 to take things forward:
•Develop an integrated online database of good practices
•Provide a set of parameters to enable viability assessment of good
practices
•Provide tools for classifying good practices (contextual factors) and
identifying their transferable elements
•Collect assessment tools and frameworks for innovations in AHA
•Collaboration, through dedicated match-making/twinning events
 For transfer of good practices and deployment of innovations
 Reference Sites to identify regions to twin with and coach
•MS and regions to finance deployment on large scale
 Structural funds, national innovation funds, innovative procurement etc.
