entering the EU market

21. COMPANIES PLACING
PRODUCTS IN THE EU
MARKETS, MUST:
•Collect information, documents and
data about the relevant products
•Conduct a risk assessment
•Apply risk mitigation measures
•In case of multiple sources, the
above has to apply to all
22. GEOLOCATION
REPORTING
• Geolocation of all plots where coffee has
been produced need to be reported
• Up to 4ha one GPS locations on the plot
• Above 4ha the polygon (plot boarders) are
needed
• The date or time range of production must be
included
• None of the plots can be in a deforestation or
forest degradation zone, otherwise the whole
batch will be non-compliant for the EU and
cannot be exported
23. RISK ASSESSMENT SHOULD
INCLUDE

chains where traceability is an issue, are being treated
as high risk for non-compliance
• International, national and regional laws compliance
25. FINAL DETAILS OF EUDR IMPLEMENTATION
NOT YET 100% CLEAR
•Still discussions around real “implementation date”, a lobby to postpone
by two year ongoing
•Unclarity about details of the implementation, the software solution, etc
•Guidance document to be finalised in the upcoming weeks
But it will be coming
So, better ACT NOW!

ensuring our coffee can still reach our valued
European customers
