Spring traditions in Lithuania include celebrating Easter by dyeing and hiding eggs. Children hunt for Easter eggs left by the Easter Granny and participate in egg-rolling and egg-breaking games. Another spring tradition is the Kaziuko Fair, held in March, which marks the beginning of spring and end of winter. At this fair, local craftspeople sell goods and traditional palm bouquets. Schools also hold their own mini Kaziuko Fairs where students can sell baked goods. As part of an eTwinning project, students sing songs about spring, improve their spring vocabulary, write poems, and play outdoor games to celebrate the season.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

2. Lithuanian Spring traditions
EASTER is spring festival. The main attribute of this holiday is Easter Egg (printed,
embossed or painted). The most beautiful eggs are those painted with wax, another
way of decorating Easter eggs is scraping with a knife. But some people still use
natural plant dye. The most popular way to dye eggs in Lithuania is using onion
peel.
3. Lithuanian Spring traditions
Lithuanians have very nice Easter traditions and
games. On Eastern morning children hunt for
hidden Easter eggs left them by the Easter
Granny. The Easter Granny travels around the
country, stopping in every child's yard to leave
eggs.
The simplest game is an egg-breaking contest. We do it
every year at breakfast table on Easter. Two players face
off, each holding an Easter egg and hit each other's egg.
The one whose egg remains intact is the winner. To win
this you must select the strongest egg!
Another amusing Easter game is egg
rolling. Contestants roll their eggs and
the purpose is to reach the other’s egg
and tap it. If your egg hits another egg,
you can take it.
4. Lithuanian Spring traditions
Kaziuko mugė (English: Kaziukas Fair) is a large annual Lithuanian folk arts and
crafts fair. The fair is traditionally held on the Sunday nearest to St. Casimir’s Day,
March 4.
Every year Kaziuko mugė announces the beginning of spring and the
end of winter. One of the most traditional purchases is the heart shaped
cookies called “Kaziuko širdis“ (Heart of Kaziukas).
The arts and crafts at the fair include hand-made goods
from local craftsmen, such as apparel, knitted clothes,
footwear, toys, utensils, metal crafting, souvenirs, and
paintings. Traditional “palm” bouquets (called “verbos”,
hence Verbų sekmadienis) are one of the fair’s specialties.
