5. At the end of Film Studio Island project, I wanted to
assess students’ progresses in language and ICT skills, but
also in citizenship and relational skills. I had a school
year’s worth of informal and formal data, together with
their results in the surveys Deniz and I submitted to them.
I’m proud to say that most of them improved really
much, compared to their beginning, as it’s shown in
the following spread sheets.
Their communication skills and use of English have
become more fluent thanks to the almost-weekly chats
and live events we held during the winter months,
while their Whatsapp chat helped them to use the
language outside the school environment and for more
personal matters.
6. They learned to work in teams and share, compare and
exchange ideas and knowledge among peers, helping each
other in the learning process and improving their self-
confidence as well.
Students learnt to use a lot of ICT tools and increased their
knowledge of cybersecurity and safety on the net, applying
e-safety measures in their activities during the entire
project.
Lastly, they considered the school curriculum with a more
multidisciplinary approach, enjoying the activities that
integrated different subjects.
You did really well, students of mine! It has been a pleasure
working with you!
