This document summarizes a presentation on ethical management and whistleblowing. It defines whistleblowing and discusses why individuals blow the whistle, as well as internal, external, and anonymous whistleblowing. It also examines fears of retaliation for whistleblowing and relevant laws and acts that protect whistleblowers. Several case studies from India are presented where individuals faced retaliation, including demotion, threats, and even murder, after exposing corruption. Principles for ethical decision making are also outlined.
