The Silent Generation and the Baby Boomers were not included in the study because the
emphasis of the research is placed on the younger more diverse work force. Several research
questions will be answered to achieve the stated purpose of this research. By applying statistical
procedure of multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) to the Work Values Inventory (Super
1970) a measurement can be made of the null hypothesis showing the mean vector of 15 work

The usual test for a statement of fact is verifiability, that is whether it can be shown to correspond
to experience. Standard reference works are often used to check facts. Scientific facts are verified
by repeatable experiments. E. H. Carr in his 1961 volume, what is History? argues that the inherent
biases from the gathering of facts makes the objective truth of any historical perspective idealistic
and impossible. Facts are, like fish in the Ocean, of which we may only happen to catch a few,
only an indication of what is below the surface. Even a dragnet cannot tell us for certain what it
would be like to live below the Ocean s surface. Even if we do not discard any facts (or fish)
presented, we will always miss the majority; the site of our fishing, the methods undertaken, the
weather and even luck play a vital role in what we will catch. Additionally, the composition of
history is inevitably made up by the compilation of many different bias of fact finding all
compounded over time. He concludes that for a historian to attempt a more objective method, one
must accept that history can only aspire to a conversation of the present with the past and that one s
methods of fact gathering should be openly examined. As with science, historical truth and facts

Anemi A Rare Genetic Disorder
NGLY1 deficiency is a rare genetic disorder that was first discovered in 2012 and has been
diagnosed in less than 100 individuals worldwide. This disease is caused by a lack of the enzyme
N glycanase 1, which helps break down defective proteins, explained by Clement Y. Chow, PhD,
Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Geneticsat the University of Utah. People with this
disease tend to experience global developmental delays, seizures, difficulty with movement,
problems with liver function, and the difficulty to produce tears. The symptoms of this disease can
vary since not all the information has been gathered about NGLY1 deficiency.
The first thing geneticists look for when searching for the cause of mysterious mutation is knowing
the DNA mutations sequence.
The first case to appear was in a four year old boy named Bertrand Might s. With this specific
condition he was born with NGLY1 deficiency causing him certain symptoms of the disease.
Symptoms include but are not limited to; hollow and unfocused eyes, lack of tears, and refusing to
eat. Doctors at the hospital ran multiple tests, but couldn t come up with a diagnosis. Thanks to the
2003 Human Genome Project, which identified new genetic mutations allowing research to
become easier. Geneticists often struggle to find patients who share these rare DNA sequences
since doctors have not been able to find a large amount of patients with this specific disorder. When

The Slave Revolt of Spartacus
One significant event within classical history that occurred within and had an impact on how
Roman society functioned was the slave revolt of Spartacus. This war was the third in a cycle of
three named the servile wars. These wars began away from Rome, in Sicily, but later directly
threatened the senate when Spartacus began the third servile war that lasted from 73 71BC and
involved many slaves who escaped their punishment to fight, although none were recorded to have
survived after the final battle where Spartacus died in battle.
Spartacus, translating to from the city of Sparta in Latin, was a Roman gladiator who began as
a Thracian, born among pastoral nomadic people according to Plutarch. This northern area of
Greece that holds the title of Spartacus birth place was believed to be one of Rome s earliest
enemies. Historians suspect his birthdate to be around that of 109BC and know his date of death
to be 71BC. This gives him a lifespan of around 37 years. Minimal information is documented
prior to his rise to fame. One of the first pieces discovered about Spartacus timeline was in 78BC
when he was incarcerated and forced to train as a gladiator. This enslavement was most likely due
to either deserting his cause or committing a crime and sold as a slave as a form of punishment,
although often the accusations that put people into slavery were unfair and biased due to aspects

Exemplar: Spirited Away Spirited Away is the story of a young hero named Chihiro. When
making the journey to her new home, a detour into a sketchy amusement park sends Chihiro
away from her world and into the spirit world. Our hero is suddenly faced with a dilemma; her
parents are pigs (both literally and metaphorically), and the tunnel connecting the human world
and the spirit world has been blocked. In order to return to her world safely alongside her parents,
Chihiro must survive in the spirit world and play by its rules. Our hero faces great challenges and
trials, like... getting a job? And... confronting your boss? How about remembering to eat so that

In the end, we see the results of Chihiro s growth as a character as she faces the Witch Yubaba in
the final confrontation. She not only completes her initial quest, but also finishes the side quest,
allowing her to become a much more mature individual as compared to her state of being at the
beginning of the film. Spirited Awaydraws upon many mythic themes, and the ones that I will be
talking about are Symbolism and Sacred Spaces. One of the symbols that we are first introduced
to in Spirited Away is water. When our hero starts to transition into the world of spirits,
something happens off screen. Water suddenly blocks the tunnel that connects the human world
and the spirit world. Water also appears to magically surround the perimeter of the bathhouse at
its base. Water is also used in the bathhouse to rejuvenate and cleanse spirits that enter. And
finally, water comes up again when we see a flashback of what seems to be Chihiro drowning in
a river. So what s up with water? Well, throughout the film, water is used to symbolize freedom
and captivity. It serves as a literal object that blocks Chihiro s path back to the human world, and
also limits movement around the spirit world (we see that Chihiro has to utilize a train system in
order to move around the spirit world freely). However, water isn t all that bad. In the scene where
Chihiro is faced with the responsibility to clean the stink spirit, inordinate amounts of
