exposure to pollutants common in the environment including the air, water, food and numerous
consumer products such as the cosmetics and toiletries. Cosmetics are seen as one of the most
important sources of releasing heavy metals into the environment and the human biological
system. Thus Cosmetic products must not be harmful under normal or foreseeable conditions of
use. Four different samples of cosmetics (Foundation, Kohl, Blusher, and Lipstick) were
analyzed in Al Madina SAES laboratory for water and food analysis to determine the levels of
heavy metals (As, Pb, Zn, Hg, and Cu) in the products. Concentrations of the selected heavy metals
were determined by using inductively coupled plasma/optical emission spectroscopy (ICP/OES).
As and Cu were not found in all samples except in foundation sample found in concentration
0.0056 ppm for as and 0.006116 ppm for Cu, lead ranged between 0.03 0.92 ppm. Mercury ranged
between 0.04 1.49 ppm, and Zinc ranged between 0.026 0.091ppm.

Criminologist James Q. Wilson and George Kelling developed the Broken Window theory .
According to their theory they believed that crime is the inevitable result of disorder (Gladwell
155). The broken window theory is known as a disorder and as chaos, therefore, crimes become
an issue due to the fact that the impression of no one being in charge causes crimes to happen
one after another and worsening along the way. An example often used is a broken window,
which leads to another broken window, to graffiti, to loitering, etc. The disorder, the chaos and
the abandonment of something or a place causes crimes to be followed one after another crime
is contagious (Gladwell 155). According to the broken window theory, broken windows should

One of the earliest ideas of separating powers came in the 1600 s and is evidenced by the idea
that the parliament then is what we would consider today as being the Legislative branch of
government since it was in charge of taxes. To be a king in those days would be similar to the
